-2- <br />November 27th, Council meeting (con't) <br />000172 <br />about this, he instructed the Clerks office to prepare ballots for the <br />December 5th, 1961 election. <br />Mr. Meyers informed the Council that a letter the Village <br />received from the County assessor, regarding assessments on tax delinquent <br />land was merely for the information of the Village and required no action <br />at this time. <br />G' The matter of an application for a liquor license was taken up <br />and as the application was not complete and in view of the pending election <br />Mr. Crane moved to table the matter until the next regular meeting. <br />Seconded by Hodges. 5 Ayes. <br />Th Attorney presented the Council with copies of a contract <br />for hiring Police Officers for study. <br />Mr. Knutson reported on a letter from the County Auditor <br />regarding a repayment of assessments collected. He stated this was an <br />automatic procedure after the auditor received their notice and the letter <br />was referred to the Attorney. <br />The Engineer presented a bill for materials for the Woodcrest <br />Drainage Project. Motion by Christensen to pay this bill. Seconded by <br />Hodges. 5 Ayes. <br />The matter of subdivision of lots by residents without Council <br />approval was discussed and referred to the Attorney. <br />Motion by Blanchard to pay bills submitted.(list att.) <br />'Seconded by Hodges. 5 Ayes. <br />The Mayor stated that at the R.C.M.O.A. meeting on November <br />22nd, 1961 the sewer problem was discussed and many facts were brought <br />forth. Copy of minutes on file. <br />A petition to have the County and /or the Village extend <br />County Road 1 from Highway 10 thru to Groveland Road was presented and <br />referred to Christensen for study and recommendation. <br />The Clerks office was instructed to ask Mr. Bergstrom of N.S.P. <br />Gas Co. to meet with the Council informally on December 6th at 8:00 P.M. <br />at the Village office. <br />The Engineer reported that the utility building would be rear; <br />for occupancy this week. <br />The Clerk stated that the office will be moved by the end of <br />this week. <br />Mr. J. Gibson and Mr. J. Bell asked if they could obtain a <br />sample ballot on the liquor question and also inquired as to the avail- <br />ability of absentee ballots.
