1 <br />PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL <br />VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />RAMSEY C1UNTY <br />MINNES')TA <br />Persuant to due call and notice thereof, a Special <br />Meeting of the Village Council of the Village of Mounds <br />View, Minnesota was held at the Village Office in said <br />Village on Tuesday Feb. 27, 1962 at 5:20 P.M. Mayor <br />Crane called the meeting to order. <br />Present .ere: <br />Mayor Allan B. Crane <br />Clerk Lloyd J. Blanchard <br />Trustees Donald Hodges <br />John L. Sullivan <br />Perry Malvin <br />003033 <br />Also Present <br />Admin. Clerk Paul Boog <br />Engineer Les Knutson <br />Vice President Vern Luther (Layne, Minn, Co.) <br />Mayor Crane called on Les Knutson to explain about <br />the test pumping at Well #2. The Engineer reviewed the contract <br />between Layne Minnesota and the Village of Mounds View <br />pertaining to the pumping results at Well #2. He stated <br />that on February 23, 1962 the following results were <br />attained after 30 plus hours of pumping. <br />Aount an <br />400 g er minute 4 parts per million <br />4 :00 400 5 <br />4 :15 450 6 <br />4:30 500 28 11 n <br />To increase yield of well to 1,000 gallons per minute. <br />The decision, as explained by Les Knutson and Vern Luther <br />from Layne Minnesota was either one of two choices to <br />obtain "Sand free" water e,g, with the maximum of 5 ppm. <br />1. Test Pumping at $22.00 per hour <br />2. $300.00 per 50 gallons per minute increment increase <br />in the yield of the well over the tested "send Free" yield <br />determined under Stage #1 <br />Motion by Blanchard that the Village of Mounds View <br />approve of pumping agreement Stage 2.
