PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL <br />VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />The regular meeting of the Mounds View Village Council <br />was called to order by Mayor Crane at 8:05 P.M. March 13, 1962 <br />at 2401 Highway #1C <br />Present were; <br />Mayor: <br />Clerk: <br />Trustees: <br />Allan B. Crane <br />Lloyd J. Blanchard <br />Donald Hodges <br />John L. Sullivan <br />Attorney: Richard Meyers <br />Engineer: Les Knutson <br />Public Works: Walter Skiba <br />Treasurer Irene Edberg <br />0d0034 <br />Absent: <br />Trustee: Perry Malvin <br />The Attorney advised that the minutes show that the <br />regular meeting and Public Hearing scheduled for Monday, <br />March 12, 1962 was postponed by council action until Tuesday, <br />March 13, 1962. <br />The Mayor opened the public hearino on the street and <br />storm sewer improvement project in Clint's Addition. <br />The Attorney read and explained the published Notice <br />of Hearing. (Copy of notice attached.) <br />Mr. and Mrs. Grande of 5165 Long Lake Road, New Brighton, <br />Minnesota made appearance at this hearing. They stated that <br />they received no notice in the mail, but that Councilman Hodges <br />had notified them personally of the hearing. The Engineer <br />explained the estimated costs of this improvement and stated <br />that these plans presented were not the final plans but merely <br />a preliminary report. He further explained that this hearing <br />was a result of Council action emanating from-a petition by <br />Arvid Carlson Inc. a developer who owned. Clint'S Addition. <br />He also explained the type of reads and storm sewers contem- <br />plated and the direction of flow of surface water through <br />said storm sewer. <br />Mr. Carlson, (developer) stated that he felt the <br />Engineer's proposals are fully acceptable and that they <br />solve the problems presented. <br />Mr. Carlson: "I am in favor of the improvement and the <br />means of assessment and agree with the Engineer's solution <br />to our problem." <br />Mr. Grande: "The proposed road, Woodcrest Drive, on the <br />North side of this property if completed as proposed, (66 ft.) <br />would leave the right of way within 51i ft. of the side of our <br />house. We are willing and trying to sell our house and land <br />and request that no action be taken on this matter until we have <br />sold." (Mr. and Mrs. Gr9 de are officially listed as the only <br />opponents to this improvement at this meeting.) <br />
