PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL <br />VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />The regular meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was <br />called to order by Mayor Crane at 8110 P.M. May 28, 1962 at <br />2401 Highway #101 <br />Present were: <br />Mayor: Allan B. Crane <br />Clerk: Lloyd J. Blanchard <br />Trustees: Perry Malvin <br />Donald Hodges <br />John L. Sullivan <br />Engineer: Les Knutson <br />Attorney: Richard Meyers <br />Adm. Deputy Clerk: Paul E. Boog <br />Public Works Walter Skiba <br />The Mayor re- opened the Public Hearing on the proposed <br />thoroughfare plan for Woodale Drive recessed from April 23, 1962. <br />After stating the purpose of the hearing the Mayor asked <br />is there was anyone present who wished to speak for or against <br />this plan. There were no answers. <br />Motion by Blanchard to adopt the thoroughfare plan as <br />presented for Woodale Drive from Long Lake Road to Eastwood Road. <br />Seconded by Sullivan 5 Ayes <br />The Building Inspector was instructed to issue no building <br />permits and to require proper set -backs from this proposed road <br />in the future. <br />The Mayor declared the hearing closed. <br />Motion by Sullivan to accept minutes of May 14, 1962 <br />as presented. Seconded by Malvin. 5 Ayes <br />Mayor Crane presented the Police Commission Report and it <br />was placed on file. <br />Motion by Crane to send work order to County to install <br />30 M.P.H. speed signs, on South side of Woodcrest Drive between <br />Longview Drive and Red Oak Drive and North side of Woodcrest Drive <br />West of Long Lake Road. Seconded by Blanchard. 5 Ayes <br />An excerpt from the St. Paul Pioneer Press was read by the <br />Mayor regarding possible county -wide Civil Defense set -up. The <br />Mayor was instructed to contact Mr. Ed Salverda, County Commissioner, <br />stating that this Village would be in favor of discussing this type <br />of arrangement. <br />The Deputy Clerk, Paul Boog, is to arrange a meeting with <br />all, or part of the Councils of New Brighton, Arden Hills, and <br />Mounds View regarding possible joint municipal court venture. <br />
