PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL <br />VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA 01.100Z30 <br />The regular meeting, of the Mounds View Village Council was called <br />to order by Mayor Hodges at 8:00 P.M., April 27, 1964 at 2401 Highway <br />#10. <br />Present Were: <br />Mayor: <br />Clerk: <br />Trustee: <br />Trustee: <br />Trustee: <br />Also Present: <br />Attorney: <br />Engineer: <br />Public Works: <br />Administrative Clerk: <br />Donald Hodges <br />Lloyd J Blanchard <br />John L. Sullivan <br />Ingram Rusted <br />Charles LaVaque <br />Richard Meyers <br />Les Knutson <br />Walter Skiba <br />Paul Boog <br />Motion by RodBes to approve the minutes of April 13, 1964 as pre- <br />salted. Seconded by LaVaque. 5 Ayes. <br />The Mayor announced that due to a delay in the mailing of legal <br />notices the assessment hearing scheduled for this meeting would not be <br />held until a later date. <br />At the request of several citizens, the information regarding costs <br />of Project 1963 -1 were read by the Engineer and several questions were <br />answered. <br />Motion by Hodges to reset assessment hearing for Improvement Pro- <br />ject 1963 -1, at May 25, 1964 at 9:00 P.M. Seconded by Ruetad.5 Ayes. <br />Mr. Blanchard reported that the N.S.S.S.D. was advertising for bids <br />for over 50% of their system, and that bids would be opened on May 19, <br />1964 at 2:00 P.M. at the Mounds View Village Hall. <br />A large delegation of residents from the Hillview area of the <br />Village appeared, requesting information on the drainage portion of the <br />Sanitary =Sewer rogram. A general discussion period was held for <br />approximately 3 5 minutes during which time the Engineer, Attorney, and <br />various Council members attempted to explain the reasons for surface <br />water drainage. <br />Motion by Hodges to set a special meeting in the near future to <br />arrive at a decision, on surface water drainage, for the entire Village, <br />with the exception of the C -1 and C -3 areas. Seconded by Sullivan. <br />5 Ayes. <br />Gene Castle, 2090 Hillview Road, appeared in response to a Council <br />request regarding the non conforming use of his welding shop and the <br />possible danger of outdoor welding to persons nearby. He informed the <br />Council that there actually was little danger, but would attempt to do <br />
