-2- 0J0064 <br />A letter from the Glisan Realty petitioning for water and <br />street improvement on Fourth Street was received and filed. <br />Motion by Blanchard to order prel plans fr <br />Engineer (COmatoc and Davis) for Water and Street Improvement on <br />4th Street from Woodcrest to Woodale; Woodcrest from 4th Street to <br />Irondale; Quincy from Hillview approximately ;1321 feet North <br />Seconded by La Vaque. 4 Ayes. <br />Motion by Blanchard to set Public Hearing on July 27, 1964 <br />at 9:00 P.M. on above listed street and water improvements. <br />Seconded by Rustad. 4 Ayes. <br />Motion by Hodges to appoint Rustad as acting Mayor. <br />Seconded by La Vaque. 4 Ayes. <br />Motion by Hodges to make the following appointments. <br />1. LaVaque to Water Department <br />2. Rustad to Roads <br />3. Blanchard to Lakeside Park <br />Seconded by Blanchard. 4 Ayes. <br />The B E Patrol report for May was. read and filed. <br />The Police Department report for the month of May was <br />read and filed. <br />Mr. Rustad reported that the County was patching the Village <br />roads at the present time. <br />A request for speed signs and more intensive traffic patrolling <br />was referred to the Police Commission. <br />Charles Jackson, Civil Defense Director, reported that a <br />meeting with the Council regarding matching funds will be held on <br />the 15th of June. <br />Motion by Blanchard to concur with the Building Inspectors <br />recommendation and allow a variance as requested for Mr. Ed. Dropps <br />at 7950 Fairchild Avenue (Approximate address firt house South <br />of Porters) Variance allows 8' side yard setback. <br />Seconded by Hodges. 4 Ayes. <br />The Engineer returned the plans for a Clark Service Station <br />at County Road H -2 and Highway 10, to the Council and it was <br />referred to the Planning Commission; <br />The Engineer presented the Council with the preliminary <br />report for the Johnson Terrace street improvement for study. <br />(copy on file) <br />The Attorney advised the Council that the financing of small <br />projects in newly platted areas should be guaranteed by the developers <br />to save the strain on the Village budget. <br />The Attorney reported that ground breaking ceremonies <br />for the new Centennial State Bank at Lexington would be held on <br />June 15, 1964 at 7:15 P.M. <br />
