C 00A <br />Mr. Rustad reported on the following: <br />1. B and E report for June, 1964 (Copy on file) <br />2. Police Report for June, 1964 (Copy on file) <br />3. A letter commending Chief Grabowski for service to a motorist in <br />trouble. <br />The Clerk's Office was instructed to prepare a letter of <br />commendation for Mr. Grabowski' "s ersonal file and to send another <br />letter to Mrs. Lang (the motorist) thanking her for calling our <br />attention to this action by the Chief. <br />Motion by Hodges to appoint Arthur Schott as head of the <br />Road and Bridge Department. Seconded by La Vaque. 5 Ayes. <br />The Water Department report for June awas read and filed. <br />Motion by LaVaque that before any pumping of residents <br />basements is undertaken by the Village a written agreement by the Village <br />and the property owner must be made stating that if the flooding is <br />not due to Village negligence or fault, the owner must pay for the <br />pumping. Seconded by Hodges. 5 Ayes. <br />Clerk's Office and Attorney to prepare necessary agreement mentioned <br />above. <br />The minutes of a special meeting of the Planning Commission <br />regarding the proposed Mobile Home Court on Highway 8 and County <br />Road H -2 was read and filed. <br />Motion by Blanchard to concur with the Building Inspectors <br />recommendation and allow a secondary building for tool storage at <br />2712 Sherwood Road. Seconded by Schott. 5 Ayes. <br />The matter of a contractor placing a future Sanitary Sewer <br />line with a water line in a trench was discussed and Mr. Skiba was <br />instructed to make the inspection and hook -up of the water and to <br />notify the contractor that the sewer line would never be usable as it is <br />too close to the water line. <br />The Engineer was instructed to notify the public works <br />department when N.S.P. and N.W. Bell Telephone were going to do <br />any construction involving Village streets or water lines so the water <br />department will be able to check back for leaking or broken lines, etc. <br />The Engineer presented <br />1. Freliminary report <br />2. Preliminary report <br />Water Extension. <br />3. Progress report on <br />the following: <br />on Quincy Road and water extension. <br />on Fourth Street and Woodcrest Road <br />Sanitary Sewer Bids. <br />Motion by Rustad that the Council will require all developers <br />to abide by the terms of the subdivison regulations in regards to all <br />future services such as roads, sewers, and water. Seconded by La Vaque <br />5 Ayes. <br />Motion by Blanchard to concur with the Engineers recommendation <br />and award the contracts for Schedule P and r, of the Sanitary Sewer Project <br />1964 to Orfei and Sons, Inc. and to authorize the Mayor and Clerk to <br />execute same together with the addendum to the basic contract prepared by <br />the Village Attorney. Seconded by Schott. 5 Ayes. <br />
