�;�. <br />PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLACE CGUNCIL <br />RAMSEYGCOUNTYOUMDNNESOTA L`--'U J � 1 <br />The regular meeting of the Mounds View Vil].age Council was <br />called to order by Mayor Hodges at 8:�0 P.M., August 10, 1964 at <br />2401 Highway # 10. <br />Present Were: <br />Mayor: Donald C. Hodges <br />Clerk: Lloyd J. Blanchard <br />Trustee: Charles La Vaque <br />Ingram Rustad <br />ArtY�ur Schott <br />Also Present: <br />Attorney: Richard Meyers <br />Engineer: Sheldon Boehm <br />Adm. Clerk: Paul E. Boog <br />Public Works: Walter Skiba <br />Motion by La Vaque to approve minutes of regular meeting <br />July 27, 1964 as presented. Seconded by Hodges. 5 Ayes. <br />Motion by Rustad to approve minutes of special meeting, <br />August 3, 1964 as presented. Seconded by Schott 5 Ayea. <br />Several residents complained of the peat f ire on the <br />Northeastern edge of the Village and requested council action. <br />They were advised that Mr. Blanchard had arranged for <br />� a representative of the Conservat�on Department to come and make <br />suggestions asto the best method of fighting this type of fire, <br />on Tuesday August 11, 1964. <br />Motion by 5chott to refund the subdivi.sion fee to <br />Mr. Albert Berens - 2255 Lois Drive as no action had been taken <br />and he had withdrawn his request. Seconded by Rustad. 5 Ayes. <br />An in�'ormal hearing was held to inform the affected reside�ts <br />of the progress and proposals for the extension of Silver Lake Road. <br />As only seven owners of the 52 parcels involved taere <br />present and four of the seven were against putting in any improvements <br />the Council decided that a�ublic hearino shou:�d be called. <br />The matter r•as referred to the Atrorney for clarification <br />of areas, services and districts �.nvolve�. <br />Mr. W. 0. Frits requested that the Police Department be <br />directed to i:�sue a violstion of burning ordinance citation te the <br />owners of the lan.d involved in the peat fire i� said fire is not <br />extinguished within a reasonable leng'_. of time. <br />Mr. Frits also spoke of the many cases of Oak ldilt Disease <br />in the Village and suggested that some t,ype of ord+_nance be written <br />to have these direased trees removed. <br />The Mayor appointed �'r.
