Mr. E. Ramacker, Manager a Ballroom, stated the 0u009 <br />temporary sewer permit was being held up by the State Health Dept. <br />Mr. Ramacker requested the Council to do something. Matter ref <br />to attorney. <br />Motion by Hodges to approve subdivizion of Lot 121 <br />es Hillview Addition, located at Sherwood and Red Oak Drive submitted <br />by Mrs. Harstad on completion of proper application. Seconded by <br />Schott. 5 Ayes. Motion Carried. <br />Mayor Hodges reported that the warming houses are painted and <br />that gas has been installed into the warming houses. After <br />discussing the reasons for hydrants on the Village Parks for flooding <br />rinks, Mr. Hodges moved to request preliminary plans for hydrants <br />on Lambert and Hillview Parks from the Engineer, Seconded by Rustad. <br />5 Ayes. Motion Carried. <br />The monthly report of the Police Department was read by <br />Rustad. A request for a four way stop sign at Quincy and Terrace <br />was read and referred to the Chief of Police. The Dog Catchers <br />report for August was read by Rustad. The request by the Civil <br />Defense for a place to store their truck was discussed by Rustad. <br />He stated that no site was available at this time. <br />Mr. La Vaque reported 115 deliquent accounts at this <br />time. He discussed the progress of the drainage and sewer construction. <br />On suggestion by La Vaque the Mayor referred to the Engineer the <br />problem of the open end of cement culverts at street corners. Some <br />children were observed playinj in these drainage culverts. <br />Mr. Schott reported he is investigating the condition <br />of the Village roads. He stated that the County would soon be <br />notified as to what roads are to be repaired. <br />Mr. Jackson, Civil Defense Director, reported that a <br />benefit dance will be held for the family of Mr. Petro who recently <br />died of cancer. The Dance will be held October 17, 1964 at 8:00 P.M. <br />in the New Brighton Village Hall. Mr, Jackson stated the Civil <br />Defense truck was taken to the State Training Center in Arden Hills <br />to assist the Fire Department. <br />for the Engineer, Shelly Boehm, reported that alternate proposals <br />gas engine at Tlell House 2 are being studied by the <br />installer and himself. They will try to eliminate the present <br />hydralic system. The Engineer submitted the final plans for water <br />extension to Lakeside Park Ballfield and the final plans for the <br />extension of Quincy Street North of Hillview Road. <br />Motion by Rustad to accept the final plans for the <br />extension of Quincy, Mater and Street Improvement Project 1964-2 <br />and authorize the Clerk to advertise for bids to open October 5, <br />1964 at 6:30 P.M. Seconc'' by 1. 5 Ayes. Motion Carried. <br />9:00 P.M. Mayor Hodges opened the Public Hearing on vacation of <br />North half of Woodcrest Drive between fourth street and Edgewood Dr. <br />Motion by La Vaque to grant !.r. Borwyn Christensen an <br />interior lot North of his present houo and South of the proposed <br />walk through. Seconded by Rustad. 5 Ayes. Motion Carried. <br />
