-2- <br />CA <br />A letter from the Chief of Police regarding the resent <br />teen -age dance at the Ballroom was read and filed. <br />Motion by La Vaque to accept the low bid of Midway Ford in <br />the amount of $1,688.00 for a new pick -up truck as bid. Seconded by <br />Rustad. 5 Ayes. <br />Mr. La Vaque read the minutes of the last Planning Commission <br />meeting. (on file) <br />Motion by La Vaque to concur with the Planning Commissions <br />recommendation and approve license application for a used car lot for <br />Joseph Dolphy and Byron Westberg at 1925 Highway 10 after Building <br />Inspector has certified that points 6.1 -4 and 6.1 -5 of Ordinance 67 <br />have been complied with. Seconded by Rustad. 5 Ayes. <br />The Attorney advised the Council that due to the absence of <br />gas service at the above locations, before a new station license <br />could be issued a special use permit would have to be applied for. <br />Motion by Schott to send a work order to the Ramsey County <br />Engineer to repair (patch) Edgewood Drive from County Road H -2 to <br />the Edgewood Jr. High School. Seconded by La Vaque. 5 Ayes. <br />Motion by Schott to send work order to N.S.P. for installa- <br />tions of street light, 6000 lumens, at the following intersections: <br />4th Street and Woodcrest, Adams and Bronson Drive. <br />Seconded by Rustad. 5 Ayes. <br />The changing of name of Greenfield Place was referred to the <br />Attorney. <br />The Clerk was directed to again notify the County Engineer <br />of the change in names of Spring Lake Road. <br />The Engineer reported on the lift stations bids. Motion <br />by Rustad, upon advise from the Engineer, to award the bids for <br />Sanitary Sewer Improvement Project 1964 -2, lift stations, to low. <br />bidder, Northern Contracting Company, Bid amount is 154,000, com- <br />pletion time is 210 days, bid bond in the amount of 5% cf the <br />amount of bid. Seconded by La Vaque. 5 Ayes. <br />Mr. Schott reported that the County used 12 tons of bituminous <br />material patching Village streets in October.. <br />Motion Hodges concur with the building inspectors recommenda- <br />tion and grant variance to building code to J. Saterback, 2350 Hillview, <br />allowing 6 foot side yard set back for garage. Seconded by Schott. <br />5 Ayes. <br />Motion by Blanchard to waive license fees for contractors <br />doing public improvements in the Village while under contract with <br />the Village. Seconded by Rustad. 5 Ayes. <br />The quesb of the Bell Telephone cables and the cost of <br />relocations of them in case of need was referred to the Attorney. <br />A letter regarding Greenfield Place surfacing, from the <br />Engineer, was read and filed. <br />
