0 Mr. Rustad informed the Council that John Kardell is in the <br />hospital. If Officer Kardell is not back on duty by the next meeting <br />the Civil Service Commission will be asked to certify a new employee <br />on a temporary basis. <br />Motion by Rustad to receive informal bids for floor tile and <br />wall paneling for the two offices in the Maintenance Building. <br />Seconded by LaVaque. 5 ayes <br />Mr: Boehm, Engineer, reported that Bacons's Electric will <br />reconnect the electric service at Well #2 on Wednesday. <br />A letter from the Engineer regarding the soil problem on Silver <br />Lake Road near Woodcrest Drive was read and filed. <br />Motion by Hodges to concur with the Engineers recommendation <br />and hire a soil testing laboratory and have necessary soil tests <br />made to show the most economical alternate route for the sanitary <br />sewer line on Silver Lake Road near Woodcrest intersection. <br />Seconded by LaVaque. 5 ayes <br />Motion by Rusted to allow the Engineer to do survey work for <br />Eigenheer. Seconded by Malvin. 5 ayes <br />Motion by LaVaque to authorize the Attorney to commence pro- <br />ceedings regarding the Hamilton house and open basements in the <br />Disaster area under the dilapitated buildings law. Seconded by <br />Malvin. 5 ayes <br />The Attorney informed the Council that the state zoning laws <br />would change effective January 1, 1966. The Attorney is to prepare <br />a memo on the zoning laws. <br />The Council is to meat December 6 to prepare a Resolution regard <br />ing sewer rates. <br />At 9 :00 p.m. the Mayor opened the Public Hearing on Rezoning <br />Lots 8 and 9, Spring Lake Park Knolls Addition. <br />The Clerk read the legal notice and attested to the printing and <br />mailing of same. <br />The Mayor called three times for objections, there were none. <br />The Mayor closed the hearing. <br />Motion by Malvin to approve rezoning R1A to B -3 subject to re- <br />ceipt and approval of building permit. Seconded by LaVaque. <br />5 ayes <br />Motion by Blanchard to approve bills submitted totaling <br />$11,484.46 which includes $18.61 from Disaster Fund.
