fl, f <br />PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />L f <br />JANUARY 9, 1967 <br />The regular meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was called <br />to order by Mayor Rustad at 8:00 p.m. on Monday, January 9, 1967 at the <br />Village Hall, 2401 Highway #10, St. Paul, Minnesota 55112. <br />Officials Present <br />Mayor I. C. Rustad <br />Clerk Robert Walser <br />Trustee Perry Malvin <br />Trustee Gary Lang <br />Trustee Richard Johnson <br />Also Present <br />Attorney Richard Meyers <br />Engineer Sheldon Boehm <br />Treasurer Irene Edberg <br />MOTION made, (Johnson) seconded (Rustad), to approve the minutes of <br />December 28, 1966. Motion Carried 4 Ayes <br />(Malvin Abstaining) <br />No requests or comments from residents. <br />MOTION made, (Rustad) seconded (Malvin), to appoint Richard Meyers <br />as Attorney for 1967. Motion Carried 5 Ayes <br />MOTION made, (Rustad) seconded (Malvin) to appoint Comstock and <br />Davis, Inc. as Engineers for 1967. <br />AMENDMENT made, (Walser) seconded (Lang) to postpone the appointment <br />of the Engineers pending the out —come 6f the current controversy with 1 <br />Lametti .and to permit further discussion and consideration of the <br />appoint a <br />A discussion of engineering questions between council memo 'irs, <br />citizens and the Engineer followed. <br />The vote on the amendment polled Trustee Lang and Clerk Walser FOR <br />and Mayor Rustad, Trustee Johnson and Trustee Malvin AGAINST. <br />Amendment defeated <br />Further discussion of engineering pri,blems between the Council <br />floor and Engineer followed. The report of the Associated General <br />Contractors of Minnesota, Inc. was discussed and the possibility of a <br />law suit over the °.ametti controversy was mentioned. The Engineer <br />explained at length, the reasons for various change orders and commented <br />oa the difficulties encountered in th3 sewer project under question. <br />He also indicated that the Lametti Company had never shown cause or <br />justification for the additional sums that they had requested. <br />The vote "n the main motion polled Mayor Rustad, Trustee Johnson <br />aid Trustee Malvin for the appointmc.rt, with Trustee Lang and Clerk <br />
