PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL <br />VILLAGE "F MOUNDS VIEW <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />APRIL 24,1967 <br />The Regulas Meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was called to <br />order by Mayor Rustad at 8;00 P.M. on Monday, April 24, 1967, at the <br />Village Hall, 2401 Highway #10, St. Paul, Minnesota, 55112. <br />PRESENT ALSO PRESENT <br />I. C. Rustad, Mayor Sheldon Bcehn, Engineer <br />Robert Walser, Clerk Richard Meyers, Attorney <br />Gary Lang, Trustee John Engle., Office <br />Richard Jchnscn, Trustee Supervisor <br />The Mayor noted the absense of Clerk Walser and Trustee Lang <br />A discussion of the minutes of March 27, 1967, resulted in the <br />following changes: In the item relating to Attorney Meyers services <br />with N.S.S.S.D., the word council should be counsel. In the motion <br />to hire Bart Lcssing as janitor, the wage specified at $1.25 per hour <br />should be $1.50 per hour. <br />Clerk Walser and Trustee Lang were recognized as present. <br />M/S /P (Rustad /Johnson) To approve the minutes of March 27, 1967, <br />as corrected. 5 Ayes <br />Approval of April 10, 1967 minutes was deferred. <br />Residents submitted a petition with 33 signatures requesting that <br />blvd. be sodded instead of seeded. <br />The engineer received the orginal plans of replacing only previously <br />sodded areas with sod and seeding all other areas. It has been very <br />difficult to establish which areas accually were sodded. It would <br />amount to approximately$1O0,000 in additional cost to the Village <br />to sod all blvd. Black dirt and seeding for all blvd. as now <br />specified costs about $.18 /sq. yard. <br />Residents questioned the effectiveness of seeding. The Engineer <br />stated that if residents take care of the boulevards as is necessary <br />for either seed or sod, the seeding should work out well. <br />Resident, Mr. Gandel of 5467 quincy, expressed dissatisfaction with <br />the sharp drop at the end of his driveway. The engineer and Trustee <br />Jchnson will investigate this matter. <br />A discussion of ')tDell Peterson development plans indicated the <br />planning commission is in favor of the tentative plans but a formal <br />request and fee payment must proceed any formal actin. <br />
