PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIE';:` RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA JUNE 26, 1967 The regular meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was called to order by Mayor Rustad at 8:00 P. M. on Monday, June 26, 1967 at the Village Hall, 2401 Highway #10, St. P-u1, Minnesota, 55112. PRESENT Mayor I. C. Rustad Trustee P. Malvin Trustee R. Johnson ALSO PRESENT ABSENT Attorney Meyers Clerk 'alser Engineer Boehm Trustee G. Lang M /S./P (Malvin/Johnson) To approve the minutes of May 22, 1967 with the following correction per Malvin: "I would like 9:'; to go on record that we (the Council) were accused of playing politics, and that we didn't want to hire Mr. Engle, and that it had. to do with Mr. Engle leaving the Village employment. 3 Ayes Approval of June 12, 1967 minutes was deferred. Residents requests and comments: A petition was submitted to the Council regarding signs being put up on Long Lake Road and Hillview reducing the speed, also "atch Out for Children and a play ground sign along Green- wood and Hillview and Long Lake Road. A letter will be sent to the County Engineer, Dean Anklan regarding the matter, M2. Leo Stellphlug of the Mounds View Mobile Home Park in- quired as to what could be done regarding a fence being put up along the highway. They were informed that this is private prooerty and this was more or less up to the owners of the park, but the Village will do all they can to acquire snow fence from the County for a temporary fence. See residents of the park informed the Council that they would transport the snow fence and install it. They would need approximately 300 yards. The Clerks office was d;.rocted to contact the County by letter regarding the fence. They were informed that we cannot use Municipal funds to put up a fence, nor do we have any right to put up signs s?.nce this is privately owned. A to nado shelter was also discussec,. Resicents inquired as to where they could go for shelter. The Clerk's office was directed to contact Charles Jackson, Director of. Civil Defense, to we k on the problem. The Residents also requested that the garbage at 5344 and 5346 Paymond be cleaned up. The matter was turner over to the Police Commissioner for action.
