The Regular Meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was called <br />to order by Mayor Rustad at 8:05 P.M., on Monday, October 23, 1967 <br />at the Village Hall, 2401 Highway #10, St. Paul, Minnesota 55112. <br />Present: <br />Mayor Rustad <br />Clerk Walser <br />Trustee Johnson <br />Trustee Lang <br />Trustee Malvin <br />PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL <br />VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIED <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />October 23, 1967 <br />Also Present: <br />Attorney Meyers <br />Engineer Boehm <br />M /S /P (Malvin,Lang) To approve minutes of October 9, 1967. 5 Ayes <br />Mr. Leo Cavanaugh, attorney, discussed the approval by the Planning <br />Commission of setting a hearing on a proposed rezoning, S -C to 1.1, <br />and questioned the setting of a date. Deferred until later in the <br />meeting. <br />Three bids opened on a squad car: <br />'ten Chevrolet Certified check for $155; bid $2,439 with trade. <br />Midway Ford 59 Bid bond; bid $2,430 with trade. <br />Brookdale Ford Certified check for $119.85; bid $2,397 with trade. <br />Mr. E. Gustafson talked on sewer assessment problem. Wants the assessments <br />spread ove: two lots. <br />Mr. Gustafson of Gustafsons 3rd Addition questioned the splitting of his <br />addition. <br />M /S /P (Walser,Rustad) To approve Res. #336 adopting assessment agreement <br />with Mr. Gustafson for Lots 1,2,3 Gustafsons Third Addition, 5 Ayes <br />Mayor Rustad discussed payments withheld from NSSSD, <br />M /S /P (Rustad,Lang) To authorize payments again to NSSSD. 5 ayes <br />M /S /P (Rustad,Johnson) To direct Mayor to call out Civil Defense as <br />auxilary police, to stand by at polling places after polls close. 5 Ayes <br />Mayor Rustad discussed stop sign progress. Senator Greig aided in <br />obtaining them. Papers being drawn up and they will be installed shortly <br />on Silver Lake Road and Highway #10. Costs were discussed and it appears <br />Mounds View will have to pay $2,000 of the total cost. May of 1968 an <br />additional semafore will be installed on County Road H and Highway #10. <br />Swamp by Greenfield Park was burned. <br />Fergusons house moving hearing reopened at 8:30 P.M. <br />Jim Schmidt, attorney for Ruth White, discussed the difficulty of getting <br />enough names. <br />Hearing adjourned until Mr. Ferguson gets enough names. <br />
