Engineer Boehm discussed the problem created because the HUD people were requesting <br />all contracts to be let nt once. We need to test drill first. He will discuss this <br />further with HUD officials Nn the Village might have to finance part of the project <br />until the contracts are all let:. <br />Mr. Eickstadt. requested a report on the MAC meeting that Mayor Rustad and Trustee <br />Malvin attended last week. <br />Mayor Rustad replied that additional maps wore presented and discussed. The <br />fact that the court did approve a WOO' runway at the present Location was <br />mentioned. 1V Lowers ;and othc -t obstacles and problems were mentioned. <br />Representatives of opposing groups will i:e welcome bit mass confusion at the April <br />hearing is to be avoided. The hearings will probably take from two to three days. <br />They would not commit. themselves on It location change. <br />Trustee Malvin referred to a telephone call he had received from Clerk Walser requesting <br />information on the special MAC meeting of lst week. He discussed the content of the <br />meeting and commented on the need to identify the facts in the case. He cautioned <br />against helieving rumors and speculation. <br />Clerk Walser explained his opposition to the proposed sites and expressed his concern <br />that every attempt be made to influence MAC to locate further north. <br />Mr. Johnson asked who attended last weeks special MAC meeting. <br />Mayor Rustad stated Senator Greg was there also. <br />Mr. Johnson said he feels the meeting schedule demands strong Council action to get <br />the meeting held out here and perhaps on a weekend. <br />Mayor Rustad said a decision would be made next Monday night on a letter or <br />resolution to MAC. <br />Mr. Eickstadt asked what the official newspaper of MAC was. <br />Mayor Rustad feels all communities should agree on place and wording of a resolution. <br />Mr. Delaney questioned action on his request for a subdivision. <br />The Planning Commission recommended it but he hasn't formally applied or paid th. <br />fee. He must do this before the Council can act. <br />A letter from the County was read by Engineer Boehm, requesting updating information <br />for a 1920's street plan. <br />His letter of reply was read. <br />Mr. Ernest Custaphson questioned the Planning Commission action on his request. It <br />was read again. The Planning Commission recommenced no action since condenmation <br />procedures against this property are in process by NSSSD. <br />Mr. Ernest Johnson questioned whether the Council considered requesting NSSSD to <br />follow ;FIO instead of ruining future development of large tracts of land. <br />
