PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL <br />VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />April 8, 1968 <br />The Regular Meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was called to order <br />by Mayor Rustad at 8:00 P.M. on Monday, April 8, 1968, at the Village Hall, <br />2401 Highway 10, St, Paul, Minnesota 55112, <br />Present: <br />Mayor Rustad <br />Clerk Walser <br />Trustee Johnson <br />Trustee Malvin <br />Trustee Lang <br />Bids for Village pickup truck were opened, read and recorded as follows: <br />Bid #1 Clayton Anderson <br />Bid #2 Minar Ford <br />Bid #3 Paron Motors <br />Bid #4 Art Goeble Ford <br />Bid #5 Brookdale Motors Inc. <br />Bid #6 Main Motor Sales Anoka <br />With Trade <br />$2,100,00 96.30 <br />$1,875,00 <br />$2,249,00 <br />$2,195.00 <br />Also Present: <br />Engineer Boehm <br />Attorney Meyers <br />Without Trade <br />$2,500.00 96.30 <br />$2,250.00 <br />$2,764,50 <br />$2,599,00 <br />$2,659.00 <br />$2,580.00 <br />Minar Ford appears to be the lowest bidder but there is some question about <br />additional equipment. This will be checked out by the Attorney. <br />M /S /P (Rustad /Johnson) To accept the bids as presented. 5 Ayes <br />A Superior "400" representative requested another extension of their building <br />permit to allow coordination of restaurant, motel and station construction. <br />M /S /P (Malvin /Lang) To grant another 90 day extension of the Superior "400" 5 Aves <br />building permit. <br />Tom Brasseur, Mounds View Jaycees, discussed Village 5' X 10' signs and asked <br />for suggestions for possible locations. Both ends of Highway ik 10 were suggested. <br />Fire hall property (west end of Village) and Superior "400" property(east end <br />of Village) were suggested by Mayor Rustad. <br />Tom Brasseur will check on these locations. Village office will contact <br />Superior "400 <br />Mayor Rustad read a petition for a street light near or on the corner of <br />Spring View Lane and Knollwood Drive. <br />M /S /P (Rustad /Lang) To place a street light on the west end of Spring View <br />Lane. <br />A letter sent by New Brighton to the Metropolitan Airport Commission was read, <br />M /S /P (Walser /Johnson) To send a similar letter signed by our Council to the <br />Metropolitan Airport Commission, <br />An April 22 hearing will adjourn and reconvene on April 30 at th. Anoka County <br />Airport, <br />5 Aves <br />5 Ayes <br />
