Present: Mayor Rustad Clerk Walser Trustee Johnson Trustee Malvin PROCEEDINGS OF TIIE VILLAGE COUNCIL VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA May 2 1968 The Regular Meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was called to order by Mayor Rusted at 8:00 P.M. on Monday, May 27, 1968, at the Village Hall, 2401 Highway #10, St. Paul, Minnesota 55112. Also Present: Attorney Meyers Engineer Boehm Absent: Trustee Lang Approval of the May 13th minutes was deferred to the next meeting. Mr. Dahl of Colonial Village discussed an assessment split. It will be taken care of later in the meeting. A petition signed by all residents on St. Stephens requesting a street light was read by Mayor Rusted. M /S /P (Malvin /Johnson) To install a street light in the middle of the block on St. Stephens Street. 4 Ayes A letter from MAC announcing a meeting on May 31, 1968, at 9:30 A.M. at the Anoka County Courthouse was read by Mayor Rusted. '1 Mayor Rustad read Planning Commission recommendations for Council consideration. ,.,.r Merwin Barth requested a lot split and variance (recommended by the Planning Commission), for Lots 1 and 2, Block 5, LaPorte Meadows Smuder Addition. Road access was discussed and the availability of water and sewer were detailed by the engineer. M /S /P (Rustad /Malvin) To approve the Smuder preliminary plat and variance subject to the signing of an assessment agreement. 4 Ayes Merwin Barth requested approval of a preliminary plat, approved by the Planning Commission with a 75 foot variance on the frontages of a 26 lot addition. Part of Lots 38 and 39 and all of Lot 41, Auditors Subdivision #89. M /S /P (Johnson /Malvin) To approve the preliminary plat of the 26 lot Barth Wakiriak Addition with variances. 4 Ayes Donald Drung requested a subdivision of Lot 75 Spring Lake Park Knolls Addition. Approved by Planning Commission. House placement on lots in reference to street right of ways to provide access was discussed. M /S /P (Malvin /Johnson) To approve the lot split for Donald Drung subject to the signing of an assessment agreement and per Planning Commission plan to set house as far South and as far back as possible on lot. Richard Birdsall, 2251 Pinewood Drive requested a special use permit to install copying machines in his basement for one year and renewable by the Council. Approved by the Planning Commis ion. The attorney advised that no special use permit is required subject to compliance with the zoning ordinance. 4 Ayes
