Present: Mayor Rustad Councilman Malvin Councilman Johnson Councilman Lang PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA August 12, 1968 The Regular Meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was called to order by Mayor Rustad at 8:02 P.M. on Monday, August 12, 1968, at the Village Hall, 2401 Highway #10, St. Paul, Minnesota 55112. Also Present: Deputy Clerk Zylla Attorney Meyers Engineer Boehm MSP (Johnson /Lang) To approve the minutes of July 22, 1968. Residents requests and comments: Mr. Varnes would like stronger action taken to have the Minar of dead trees and brush. The Council stressed the problem of legal action were taken. Mayor Rustad also stated that due to an article appearing in the St. Paul Dispatch criticizing Mounds View for the lack of a Human Rights Commission he felt positive steps should be taken to initiate a commission. Attorney Meyers was instructed to draft a resolution establishing a Human Rights Commission for the next meeting.
