The Regular Meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was called to order by Mayor <br />Rustad at 8:02 P.M. on Monday, January 13, 1969, at the Village Hall, 2401 Highway <br />410, St. Paul, Minnesota 55112. <br />Present: <br />Mayor Rustad <br />Councilman Hodges <br />Councilman Blanchard <br />Absent: <br />Councilman Johnson <br />Councilman Malvin <br />PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL <br />VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />January 13, 1969 <br />Also Present: <br />Clerk- Administrator Zylla <br />Attorney Meyers <br />Engineer Boehm <br />Mayor Rustad welcomed new Councilmen Hodges and Blanchard to the first regular <br />meeting and stated that both were active since incorporation in 1958 and both <br />are still two of the most active civic leaders in the community. <br />MSP (Rustad /Blanchard) To approve minutes of December 16, 1968. <br />Blanchard Hodges abstaining <br />MSP (Rustad /Hodges) To approve the minutes of January 6, 1969. <br />Resident's Requests and Comments: <br />1 Aye <br />3 Ayes <br />J.J. Strangis of Preferred Builders requested some utility and drainage easements <br />be abated on Lots 1 and 2 Park View Terrace. Attorneys to confer. <br />Mayor Rustad's Report <br />MSP (Rustad /Blanchard) To appoint Jim Haluptzok and Bob Shelquist to Lakeside <br />Park Committee. Dick Johnson to remain Council representative. 3 Ayes <br />MSP (Rustad /Hodges) To appoint Planning Commission member 3 Ayes <br />Council Representative I. C. Rustad. Chairman Milt Stole, Alvin Hillsdale, <br />Charlotte Forslund, Charles Larson, Phyllis Blanchard. Bob Larson, George <br />Gustafson, James Burgraff. <br />MSP (Rustad /Blanchard) To appoint the law firm of Feinberg, Mirviss, Meyers,3 Ayes <br />Schumacher Malmon, Village attorney. <br />MSP (Rustad!Hodges) To appoint the firm of Comstock Davis Village Engineer.3 Ayes <br />MSP (Rustad /Blanchard) To appoint W. Skiba Superintendent of Public Works <br />and Plumbing and Heating Inspector, Chris Piehowski Building Inspectcr, and <br />Bob Edmond Electrical Inspector. 3 Ayes <br />MSP (Rustad /Hodges) To appoint Councilman Blanchard Council Representative <br />on the Human Rights Commission. 3 Ayes <br />MSP (Rustad /Blanchard) To adopt the following salaries for 1969 and retain <br />Dorothy Sandgren, clerk- typist at $2.50 per hour plus $30.00 per month health insurance, <br />Maxine Neumann, clerk- typist at $2.15 per hour, no health insurance <br />Nora Adleman Clerk- typist at $2.15 per hour, no health insurance. <br />Marilyn Lidberg, police Secretary $2.55 per hour, no health insurance. <br />
