The Regular Meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was called to order by <br />Mayor Rustad at 8:01 P.M. on Monday, February 10, 1969, at the Village Hall, <br />2401 Highway #10, St. Paul, Minnesota 55112. <br />Present: <br />Mayor Rustad <br />Councilman Malvin <br />Councilman Johnson <br />Councilman Hodges <br />Councilman Blanchard <br />PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL <br />VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />February 10, 1969 <br />Also Present: <br />Clerk Administrator Zylla <br />Attorney Meyers <br />Engineer Bot-hm <br />MSP (Blanchard /Johnson) To approve the minutes of January 27th with the <br />following corrections: Page 5 Paragraph 6, Change Curtis Johnson to <br />Ernest Johnson and Page 5 Paragraph 9, Paul Pasch to Paul Pashibin. <br />Residents Requests and Comments <br />Mayor Rustad read a news telegram entitled "Your Role in Preparing the Twin <br />Cities Area for the Year 2000 Subject will be part of a half hour television <br />show at 9:00 P.M., Tuesday, February llth. <br />4 Ayes <br />Malvin Abstained <br />Mrs. W. J. Graffinger, 2229 County Road H2, requests information on what is <br />going in in the area located South of County Road H2, West of Highway #8 and <br />North of Highway #10. The Council explained that there will be a hearing <br />March 10th at which a proposed multiple dwelling and shopping center development <br />will be heard. Land immediately across the street from her is presently zoned <br />for multiple dwelling. <br />Mrs. John Gutenhauf would like no parking signs put up on County Road H2 between <br />Jackson and Highway #10. The Council reacted favorably and stated they would <br />discuss the possibility of installing signs with the Chief of Police. <br />A letter was also read from Senator Tom Grieg thanking the Village Council for <br />their support against the Metropolitan Sewer Bill (Senate file 237). Representative <br />Carl Moen also sent a letter, read by the Mayor, in which he voiced his disapproval <br />of the bill (House file #335). <br />Representative Moen also sent a copy of a bill calling for the abolition of County <br />Board and other county agencies and municipalities and establishing a single county <br />government. Representative Moen requested the Councils opinion of the bill. <br />MSP (Blanchard /Johnson) To send a letter to Representative Moen and Senator Grieg <br />stating Council opposition to this bill and their desire to see the bill defeated in <br />its present form. 5 Ayes <br />Mayor Rustad read a letter which he proposed be sent to Senator Ashbach in which <br />Council opposition to the Metropolitan Sewer Bill was made clear. The letter states <br />that the Metropolitan Sewer Bill was vague and presently not in the best interests <br />of the citizens of Mounds View. <br />
