The Regular Meeting of <br />Mayor Austad at 8:00 P <br />Highway #10, St. Paul, <br />Present: <br />Mayor <br />Counc <br />Counc <br />Cnunc <br />Absent: <br />PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL <br />VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />RRAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />July 14, 1969 <br />the Mounds View Village Council was called to order by <br />.M. on Monday, July 14, 1969, at the Village Hall, 2401 <br />Minnesota 55112. <br />Austad <br />ilman Malvin <br />ilman Johnson <br />ilman Blanchard <br />Also Present: <br />Clerk Administrator Zylla <br />Attorney' Meyers <br />Engineer Boehm <br />Councilman Hodges <br />MSP (Rustad/Blanchard) To approve the minutes of June 23, 1969. <br />Residents Requests and Comments: <br />MSP (Blanchard /Johnson) To install a street light on the pole that is now <br />standing between 8180 and 8200 Spring Lake Road and also to install a light <br />between the two existing lights north of Ardan Avenue south of County Road J. <br />MSP (Malvin /Johnson) To approve the final plat of DeGardner Addition and to <br />authorize the Clerk to sign it. <br />Mayor Rustad's Report <br />Mayor Rustad read the Police Report for June. <br />Mayor Rustad also read excerpts of the minutes of the Recreation meeting of <br />June 30 in which it was noted that the Mrs. Jaycees had donated $135 so that <br />the Village may purchase five picnic tables for the Wayside Park. <br />Mayor Rustad also acknowledged receipt of thank you cards from the Jerry <br />Blanchard family and the Robert Edmond family. <br />A letter of resignation from the Human Rights Commission submitted by Bea Ehlers <br />was read by the Mayor. Mrs. Ehlers also requested the use of the Village Hall <br />for the Circle Squares Dance Group for this fail after Labor Day, Sunday evenings. <br />MSP (Johnson /Malvin) To approve the use of the Village Hall by the Circle Squares <br />Dance Group subject to the usual clean up conditions. <br />A letter was also received inviting the Mounds View Village Council to a meeting <br />at the Mounds View High School on July 21st at 7:00 P.M. to discuss the proposed <br />vocational technical school to be considered by the school district. <br />Mayor Rustad was also pleased to announce that effective July 1, 1969 the <br />municipal fire insurance classification is established for the Village of <br />Mounds View on a Class 6 basis from a Class 8 basis. The classification <br />change comes about by result of fire protection improvement made by the Village <br />of Mounds View and the Spring Lake Park Fire Department_ Inc. after a complete <br />inspection of these facilities. <br />4 Ayes <br />4 Ayes <br />4 Ayes <br />4 Ayes <br />
