PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL <br />VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />June 8, 1970 <br />The Regular Meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was called to order by <br />Mayor Rusted at 8:00 P.M. on Monday, June 8, 1970, at the Village Hall, 2401 <br />Highway #10, St. Paul, Minnesota 55112. <br />Present: Also Present: <br />Mayor Rusted Clerk- Administrator Zylla <br />Councilman Malvin Engineer Boehm <br />Councilman Hodges <br />Councilman Blanchard <br />Councilman Neisen <br />Absent: <br />Attorney Meyers <br />MEP (Blanchard/Melvin) To approve the minutes of May 25th. <br />MEP (Neisen/Hodges) To approve the minutes of June 1st. <br />Residents Requests and Comments <br />Bob Glazer gave a brief report on the progress of the golf committee. To date the <br />committee has talked to University of Minnesota soil experts, an architect, the <br />owner of the property, and Ehlers and Associates. Costs are estimated at <br />0580,000 including land. <br />Councilman Malvin stated that for a first class golf course he heard you nee <br />150 acres and 02 million dollars. <br />Mayor Rusted's Report <br />MEP (Rusted/Hodges) To accept the resignation of Arthur H. Olmstead, Jr. from <br />the maintenance department effective June 8, 1970. <br />Mayor Rusted stated he had received a bulletin from Lorin Allen, Ramsey County <br />Civil Defense Director, regarding the Community Shelter Plan. <br />A preliminary census tabulation revealed that Mounds View was 56 persons short <br />of 10,000 persons said Mayor Rustad. <br />Ensineer Boehm's Report <br />MSP (Blanchard/Malvin) To approve the 0200 rental payment to Layne Minnesota <br />for a stand by motor for Well #3 as authorized by the Village engineer in an <br />emergency situation. <br />Engineer Boehm stated that Layne Minnesota was awarded the repair of Well #3 bid <br />June 1st and was starting set up procedures today. <br />HUD project work was proceeding as well as can be expected even though the plumbers <br />were still on strike. <br />Engineer Boehm was excused from the meeting. <br />5 Ayes <br />5 Ayes <br />5 Ayes <br />5 Ayes <br />
