Councilman Blanchard's Report <br />Councilman Neisen's Report <br />Attorney Meyers' Report <br />2 <br />MSP (Rustad /Blanchard) To approve a peddlers and solicitors license for <br />Vernon Scott Killingsworth to sell Webster's Dictionaries and Handbooks, <br />and Home Adventure Library for a year for $10.00. <br />MSP (Malvin /Neisen) To approve a transient merchant license for Sally Kivimaki <br />for a month for $2.00. Children between ages 8 and 12 will be selling jewelry <br />made by the handicapped. <br />MSP (Blanchard /Neisen) To deny a peddlers and solicitors license to Walter <br />McKinnon of Capitol Portraits for home photography. <br />MSP (Malvin /Neisen) To approve the following bills: General Check #'s 4220 -4242, <br />WS- MINN -45 Check 021 and Payroll Check #'s 1512 -1537. Total disbursements <br />$7,011.56. <br />Councilman Blanchard reported that the League of Minnesota Municipalities <br />Convention at Duluth had been educational, informative and a lot of fun. <br />MSP (Neisen /Rustad) To hire maintenance man Larry Decheine at a starting <br />salary of $628 plus $30.00 insurance for a six month probationary period. <br />Councilman Neisen stated he had received several calls from the Eastwood area <br />about packs of dogs running loose in the neighborhood. A resident had called <br />B E Patrol three times and they never came out. Someone stated the B E <br />had a different truck or unmarked trucks so they could have been in the area. <br />It was suggested by the Mayor if the Councilmen received several calls they <br />should personally call B E and ask them to come out. <br />Councilman Neisen commented on the modular home displays they had seen at the <br />League Convention which were almost indestructat!e, when someone lit a match to <br />the plastic around the insulation and it went up in fire. <br />Attorney Meyers stated he was gathering materials from the League and drafting a <br />mobile home ordinance. It was questioned whether modular and pre -fab homes could <br />be included. <br />MSP (Austad /Neisen) To instruct the attorney to prepare an amendment to the <br />ordinance making 4,500 square feet the minimum lot size for mobile homes instead <br />of 3,000 square feet and a minimum thickness of 4 inches for a cement patio <br />instead of 2 inches. <br />MSP (Rustad /Blanchard) To adopt Resolution 4)469 implementing July 1st enforcement <br />of the burning ban. <br />Attorney Meyers has completed the HUD Audit Contract forms and turned them over to <br />the Village. <br />4 Ayes <br />4 Ayes <br />4 Ayes <br />4 Ayes <br />4 Ayes <br />4 Ayes <br />4 Ayes <br />
