Councilman Hodges' Report <br />2 <br />Councilman Hodges reported that on October 28th the Recreation Committee held <br />a park plan meeting with Brauer and Associates and on November 7th the plan <br />was unanimously accepted by the Committee. Mr. Hodges introduced Tom Hanson <br />and Chuck Hefty the former giving a brief presentation of the Plan. Generally <br />he stressed that our parks lacked cultural and ornamental objectives. He <br />stated that with new acquisitions of from 30 -40 acres in the Minar property, <br />12 acres for Moga property, and 20 acres for pedestrian easements our park <br />acreage would go to 20 per 1,000 population. <br />After questioning from the Council it was determined that a Master Plan would <br />cost $1,000 per site but that Brauer would furnish some preliminary cost <br />estimates for developing the three aforementioned sites. <br />MSP (Blanchard Neisen) To receive the report from Brauer and Associates. <br />Councilman Hodges stated he wanted to thank Steve Kirchoff for the park name <br />signs. <br />Councilman Blanchard's Report <br />MSP (Blanchard/Malvin) To authorize the installation of street lights at the <br />following locations. <br />By police recommendation: <br />Midway between Hillview and Sherwood on Fairchild <br />tt n tt n n n Sunnyside <br />n tt n n n n Red Oak <br />I! n n tt n tt Eastwood <br />On County Road I and Clifton <br />On the Lois Drive cul de sec <br />By resident petition: <br />Bronson and Jackson <br />Jackson and Laport <br />Councilman Blanchard also announced that at the next NSSSD meeting the formation <br />of a North Suburban Advisory Committee to the Metro Sewer Board will be discussed. <br />The charges to support the committee will be based on flow. <br />Councilman Blanchard stated that use charges to the serviced communities for <br />Quarter 4 were reduced to COO and $1.33 for Quarter 3. <br />Councii,san Neisen's Report <br />Councilman Neisen stated that the water problem on Old Highway 8 and County Road H <br />still exists as the State has not reported back to our inspector yet. <br />Attorney Meyers' Report <br />Attorney Meyers presented quick claim deeds for a perpetual easement for road <br />purposes over the following described properties: <br />The South 40' of the East 153.13' of Lot 82 Knollwood Park. <br />The Easterly 30' of Lot 82, except the Easterly 306.26' and except the North <br />87.25' Knollwood Park. <br />The South 40' and West 30' of the West 153.13' of the East 306.26' of Lot 82 <br />Knollwood Park. <br />5 Ayes <br />5 Ayes <br />
