4 <br />Clerk- Administrator Zylla also stated that Police Chief Grabowski had requested <br />that the Council give consideration to sending Juvenile Officer Smith to <br />Rochester for the Sixteenth Annual Juvenile Officers Institute on February 17, <br />18, and 19th. <br />MSP (Neisen /Blanchard) To authorize Officer Smith's attendance at the Sixteenth <br />Annual Juvenile Officer's Institute and to furnish him with a check for $150.00 <br />over the registration fee for related expenses providing all expenditures are <br />confirmed by a receipt and any overage returned. <br />MSP (Rusted /Hodges) To appoint Councilman Gerald Johnson to serve as the Council <br />representative on the Planning Commission. <br />Councilman Hodges' Report <br />Councilman Hodges announced that there is a Recreation Committee meeting on <br />January 12th. <br />Councilman Blanchard's Report <br />Councilman Blanchard stated that he would like to see the Joint Powers agreement <br />approved but would wait until the next meeting so Councilman Johnson would have <br />time to familiarize himself with it. <br />Attorney Meyers' Report <br />Attorney Meyers thanked the Council, staff and citizens that participated in the <br />Red Oak Development court trial last week. <br />MSP (Rustad/Neisen) To authorize Attorney Meyers to take any necessary steps <br />to protect the Village interest in this matter in the interim between Council <br />meetings. <br />A decision is forthcoming this week. <br />Engineer Boehm's Report <br />MSP (Blanchard /Hodges) To adopt Resolution #511 authorizing the Village of <br />Mounds View to request and obtain from the State Highway Department needed <br />engineering and technical services during 1971. <br />5 Ayes. <br />5 A}e s <br />5 Ayes; <br />5 Ayes <br />A question was asked and answered pertaining to Check #4806 to John Pittman on <br />sewer back up damage. <br />MSP (Neisen /Blanchard) To adjourn at 9:15 P.M. 5 Ayes <br />Submitted, <br />1 LLY4."] <br />Dennis S.
