Ron Lilliencrantz of Charles Adams Realtors stated that any bedroom put in <br />the basement of a split entry was counted as another bedroom according to <br />the Board of Realtors. He gave the Council information on the HUD 235 or <br />low income housing program. He stated that in his opinion no homes will be <br />constructed under this program in Mounds View. <br />Mrs. Robert Shelquist, 8025 Fairchild Avenue, favored increased square <br />footage and double garages. He stated that <br />Mounds View is about 60% developed and the question is whether we are going to <br />allow homes of $20- 24,000 or between $24- 28,000. He said that you can't use the <br />arguement that people can't afford homes if the price increases. Increases in <br />the construction requirements is good planning. Prime concern is with the <br />prople in the Village. Furthermore, builders determine the destiny of the <br />Village.
