PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL <br />VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />June 14, 1971 <br />The Regular Meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was called to order by <br />Mayor Rustad at 8:00 P.M. on Monday, June 14, 1971 at the Village Hall, 2401 <br />Highway #10, St. Paul, Minnesota 55112. <br />Present: <br />Mayor Rustad <br />Councilman Blanchard <br />Councilman Neisen <br />Councilman Johnson <br />Absent: <br />Also Present: <br />Clerk- Typist Neumann <br />Attorney Meyers <br />Engineer Boehm <br />Councilman Hodges <br />MSP (Blanchard /Neisen) To approve the minutes of May 24, 1971. 4 Ayes <br />Residents Requests and Comments from the floor <br />MSP (Blanchard /Neisen) To approve a lot split for applicant Dennis Lager, <br />7629 Knollwood Drive, to divide Lot 24, Spring Lake Park Knolls Addition <br />in half. <br />Mayor Rustad's Report <br />Mayor Rustad read the Police Report for May. He reported that Mounds View's <br />increase in crime in the last year was 94%. <br />Mayor Rustad stated that there is a need for a plain police car. The cost <br />would be $2,800.00. <br />4 Ayes <br />Councilman Johnson asked if this would be an emergency vehicle. Mayor Rustad <br />said no, it will supplement, not replace the present vehicles. <br />MSP (Rustad/Blanchard) To approve the ordering of a plain police car. 4 Ayes <br />Councilman Blanchard's Report <br />Councilman Blanchard reported that the League of Minnesota Municipalities <br />Convention had been very interesting and informative. <br />Councilman Blanchard stated that a 1971 JLate Building Code law was being prepared. <br />This will go into effect in July of 1972. <br />Councilman Blanchard also asked if Ardan Avenue between Spring Lake Road and <br />Groveland had been blocked off. Inspector Skiba stated it had not been blocked <br />off but that he would check into the matter. <br />Councilman Neisen's Report <br />Councilman Neisen reported that he enjoyed the League of Minnesota Municipalities <br />Convention very much. <br />Councilman Neisen stated that Spring Lake had been treated for "itch" on <br />June 12th. <br />
