Present: <br />Mayor Rustad <br />Councilman Blanchard <br />Councilman Hodges <br />Councilman Neisen <br />Councilman Johnson <br />Mayor Rustad's Report <br />Clerk- Administrator Zylla's Report <br />PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL <br />VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />September 27, 1971 <br />The Regular Meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was called to order by <br />Mayor Rustad at 8:00 P.M. on Monday,. September 27, 1971 at the Village Hall, <br />2401 Highway #10, St. Paul, Minnesota 55112. <br />Also Present: <br />Clerk- Administrator Zylla <br />Attorney Meyers <br />Absent: <br />Engineer Boehm <br />MSP (Blanchard /Neisen) To approve the minutes of September 13, 1971. <br />Residents Requests and Comments from the floor <br />Lee Vick and Harold Matti of the Lakeside Park Commission appeared to request <br />the Council to approve the addition to the Lakeside Park budget for 1972 of <br />$2,600 for general operating costs and $2,000 to be placed in a new building <br />fund. Total 1972 request was for $10,600. Mr. Vick stated that in his <br />opinion the Lakeside Park was in dire need of a new image. The Council <br />questioned Mr. Vick on the disposition of the swim fees and inquired as to <br />the whereabouts of various financial statements. Mr. Matti stated that they <br />are presently preparing their 1971 statement and that they will gladly send a <br />copy of the 1970 statement to the Clerk. The Council took no action on their <br />request. <br />Donald Kelley, 8101 Long Lake Road, complained about the gravel on Sherwood Road <br />which was there as a result of sealcoating. Mr. Kelley was informed that the <br />Village would be removing the gravel in a very short time. <br />Donald Chapman appeared to request the Council's final approval of Chapman First <br />Addition. <br />MSP (Blanchard /Hodges) To approve the final plat of Chapman Addition and to <br />authorize the Clerk to sign it. <br />Mayor Rustad referred a written request by the Mounds View Lions Club to conduct <br />bingo two nights a week at the Bel -Rae Ballroom to Attorney Meyers for his review. <br />4 Ayes <br />Rustad Abstained <br />5 Ayes <br />MSP (Rustad /Neisen) To approve the following licenses: Asphalt Ashbach <br />Construction Company; Cement Work Barry Bjugstad, North East Concrete Company; <br />General Contractor W. E. Nelson Stucco Company, David Christensen, Random,Inc., <br />Londer Company, Classen Construction, Ray's Construction; Heating Ace Heating <br />Company, Clarence E. Nelson Heating Air Conditioning; and Mobile Sewage Carrier <br />Dan's Cesspool Company. 5 Ayes <br />
