The Regular Meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was called to order by <br />Mayor Neisen at 8:00 P.M. on Monday, March 13, 1972, at the Village Hall, <br />2401 Highway #10, St. Paul, Minnesota 55112. <br />Present: <br />Mayor Neisen <br />Councilman Hodges <br />Councilman Johnson <br />Councilman Baumgartner <br />Councilman Pickar <br />MSP (Hodges /Baumgartner) To approve the minutes of the February 28, 1972 Meeting. <br />5 Ayes <br />Mayor Neisen's Report <br />Mayor Neisen read the Police Report for February. <br />MSP (Neisen /Hodges) To advertise for a patrolman to meet the minimum Police <br />Civil Service requirments of 21 -30 years of age, 5'9" tall, 145 pounds. <br />Applications must be in by March 29th. <br />Clerk- Administrator Zylla's Report <br />PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL <br />VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />March 13, 1972 <br />Also Present: <br />Clerk- Administrator Zylla <br />Attorney Meyers <br />Engineer Boehm <br />MSP (Pickar /Johnson) To approve the following licenses: Excavating Bollig <br />Sons; Heating All Season Comfort; Sign and Billboard 3M National Advertising <br />Company. 5 Ayes <br />MSP (Hodges /Neisen) To approve the following bills: General Checks #5922 thru <br />5964, Bond Check No. 609 and Payroll checks #2587 through 2615. Total <br />disbursements $119,105.51. <br />MSP (Neisen /Johnson) To grant Martin Oil Service, Inc., a thirty day <br />extension of their building permit issued December 28, 1971, due to inclement <br />weather and frozen ground at the building site, 1425 Highway #10. <br />MSP (Johnson /Neisen) To authorize one day of vacation on March 3, 1972 for <br />James Schlichtmann as per his request dated March 2, 1972, waiving the <br />requirement that no vacation be taken prior to anniversary dates. <br />MSP (Neisec, /Hodges) To authorize the expenditure of $256.00 to Murray Floor <br />Covering to carpet the police office addition at 2575 Bronson Drive. 5 Ayes <br />Clerk- Administrator Zylla stated that he had received the $256.00 estimate <br />for providing carpeting for a room 12x16. <br />Mr. William Gillespie appeared at the Council Meeting as requested in a letter <br />dated February 28, 1972 to discuss the condition, and the plans he has for his <br />used car lot at 2130 Highway #10. Mayor Neisen spoke, to Mr. Gillespie, calling <br />attention to the unsightly condition of the area and the fact that he had cars <br />and tires at his personal residence at 2045 Highway #F10. Mr. Gillespie was asked <br />about his business plans for the near future. Hc• stated that he has hired a man <br />to help clean up the area, but that part of his problem was that he grew faster <br />than planned. He stated he was going smaller.
