6 <br />Councilman Johnson asked the Clerk's office to inquire as to the large number of <br />milk vending machines in the Launching Pad parking lot. <br />ouncilman Baumgartner's Report <br />Councilman Baumgartner reported on the July 19, 1972 Recreation Committee meeting. <br />The main item of business was the drafting of an ordinance creating a Park <br />Commission. He said the next committee meeting would be August 2, 1972. <br />MSP (Baumgartner- Johnson) To order the installation of a night light on the power <br />pole in the walkway easement behind 2702 Greenfield Place and 7947 Greenfield <br />Avenue. <br />Councilman Baumgartner read a letter from Mr. Ken Simons of the Ramsey County Open <br />Space System informing the Council that the engineering report on possible open <br />space areas in Mounds View had been referred to the Ramsey County Parks and Open <br />Space Commission. <br />Attorney Meyers' Report <br />Attorney Meyers reported that he had attended the Rice Creek Watershed hearing on <br />July 19, 1972 in which their rules and regulations were adopted. He noted that <br />several regulations could have a far reaching effect on the municipality. <br />Engineer Boehm's Report <br />MSP (Baumgartner Pickar) To award the bid for additions to Mounds View water <br />tower #1 in conformance with State safety rules and regulations to Larson Tank <br />'ompany for $1,485.00. <br />An additional bid was received from Brown Enterprises for a cost of $1,585.00, <br />MSP (Baumgartner- Johnson) To receive the preliminary report for Project 1972 -3 <br />for sewer, water and street extensions in the Mounds View Industrial Park. 4 Ayes <br />MSP (Pickar- Baumgartner) To receive the final plans for Project 1972 -3. 4 Ayes <br />MSP (Johnson Pickar) To order Project 1972 -3 including the preparation of final <br />plans and specifications for Red Oak Estates Plat #2 and to advertise for bids on <br />August 28, 1972 at 12:00 noon to include Red Oak Estates Plat #2. 4 Ayes <br />Mayor Neisen gave a letter from William Warner requesting an adjustment for his <br />mailbox repair to Clerk Zylla and instructed him to forward it to Ramsey County. <br />MSP (Johnson Baumgartner) To adjourn at 11:34 P.M. 4 Ayes <br />R4spectfully Submitted, <br />.4 <br />Dennis S. tYlla, <br />Clerk- Administrator <br />4 Ayes <br />4 Ayes <br />
