Total :isbursements $45,956.25. 5 Ayes <br />MSP (Hodges Pickar) To approve check #6457 transferring $75,000.00 from utility funds <br />to pay the 71/72 debt levy reduction. 5 Ayes <br />MSP (Johnson Hodges) To adopt Resolution No. 573 apportioning the assessments on <br />Division #45263 for Goodroad Addition. 5 Ayes <br />MSP (Pickar- Hodges) To enter into an agreement with Ehlers Associates for bond <br />fiscal services, to include planning and execution Parts 1 3 of the proposed agreement <br />and to authorize the Mayor to sign it. 5 Ayes <br />MSP (Baumgartner- Johnson) To adopt Resolution No. 574 consolidating local improvements <br />for the Mounds View Industrial Park and Red Oak Estates Plat #2 into Project 1972 -3 and <br />calling for the issuance and sale of $385,000.00 temporary improvement bonds. 5 Ayes <br />Councilman Baumgartner's Report <br />Councilman Baumgartner announced that the Recreation Committee had met on August 29, <br />1972. He thanked Mr. Ronald Hedin for donating his garage to be used as a warming <br />house at Greenfield Park and stated that the next Recreation Committee meeting would <br />be September 14, 1972. <br />Attorney Meyers' Report <br />Attorney Meyers stated that the trial of Moen vs Mounds View was heard on August 3, <br />1972 and that the court found in favor of the Village of Mounds View releasing Mounds <br />View of a potential claim against of $9,354.00. <br />Attorney Meyers reported he has received corporate financial statements and personal <br />financial statements for Century Motor Freight and Mercury Motor Freight Lines, Inc. <br />and the principals of the corporation. He replied that he was processing other credit <br />sources as well. <br />MSP (Neisen- Johnson) To direct Attorney Meyers to gather whatever information he <br />could on the companies and the individuals to assist the Council in making a determin- <br />ation as to whether or not to sell industrial revenue bonds to finance Century Motor <br />Freight's proposed motor freight terminal in the Mounds View Industrial Park. <br />Attorney Meyers declared that a suit was in process in the Alabama Federal Court against <br />numerous cast iron pipe manufacturers. He stated that the Village Council had instructed <br />him several months ago to protect their interest in this matter. He recently received <br />a request from the State of Minnesota asking that a listing be compiled of all cast <br />iron pipe projects with the total quantities purchased. Engineer Boehm stated that his <br />office had compiled such a listing for the City of Fridley in about a weeks time at a <br />5 Ayes <br />
