Present: Mayor Neisen Councilman Hodges Councilman Baumgartner Councilman Pickar Councilman Johnson Mayor Neisen's Report PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA September 25, 1972 ae Regular Meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was called to order by Mayor fleisen at 8:00 P.M. on Monday, September 11, 1972 at the Village Hall, 2401 Highway #10, St. Paul, Minnesota 55112. MSP (Hodges Pickar) To approve the minutes of September 11, 1972. Also Present: Clerk-Administrator Zylla Attorney Meyers Engineer Boehm Residents Request and Comments From The Floor: MSP (Neisen Hodges) To grant a special permit to the Abiding Saviour Lutheran Church to place a mobile home on their property at the NE corner of Red Oak Drive and Ardan Avenue for use as a temporary office while the church is being constructed, for a period not to exceed September 1, 1973, and to waive all water and sewer connection charges. The Council informed George Gustafson, representing the Church to have a sign erected explaining the proposed use to the public. Mr. Gustafson told the Council that they aye abandoned their plans for the use of a two family dwelling on Ardan Avenue. (Reference September 11, 1972 minutes). Roger Wikner and Frank Bonello representing Miller Schroeder and Century Motor Freight respectively asked the Council if they have made a decision on whether or not to authorize the sale of $1,500,000 in industrial revenue bonds to finance the proposed Century Motor Freight terminal. Attorney Meyers gave the Council the results of his investigation into the corporate and individual financial backgrounds of the company and its principals. He related that it appeared the company would be of sufficient financial status to pay the principal and interest on the bonds. Mayor Neisen reported that a communication system has been put into operation whereby the Village office can maintain contact with various Village vehicles. Radios were furnished by the Mounds View Civil Defense at no cost to the Village. Councilman Hodges brought to the Council's attention that the Civil Defense director was updating the Mounds View Civil Defense Plan which would provide Mounds View with certain funds on equipment provided federal criteria is met. 5 Ayes 5 Ayes MSP (Hodges Pickar) To adopt Resolution #575 giving preliminary approval to Century Motor Freight project to sell $1,500,000 in industrial revenue bonds pursuant to Minnesota Law. 5 Ayes
