He stated that at that meeting the Council had moved to provide sewer service to the Easterly 1/2 of the high school property and the Easterly 1/2 of the 70 acres of land North of 694 and East of 35 W, thereby enhancing the possibility of blocking New Brighton's request to have their trunk sewer acquired as a metropolitan interceptor. Clerk Zylla stated that he was anticipating testifying before the Referral Committee meeting on October 19th, 1972 in opposition and requested the Council to allow Mr. Meyers to become involved in this matter to whatever extent necessary. MSP (Hodges Johnson) To authorize Attorney Meyers to assist Clerk Zylla in opposition to New Brighton's request for sewer interceptor buy out. Clerk Zylla announced that for the November 7th election, incumbent John Picker would be running for the three year Council term against former Councilman Perry Malvin.
