Mayor Neisen called the hearing to consider the vacation of a portion of proposed <br />Sunnyside for the Abiding Savior Lutheran Church to order at 8:36 P.M. <br />4erk Zylla read the legal notice and attested to its publication in the New Brighton <br />3ulletin on November 2nd and 9th. He noted the area on a map. Mayor Neisen called for <br />questions or objections from the floor, but there were none. <br />MSP (Neisen- Johnson) <br />as follows: <br />To adopt Resolution #585 vacating the highway easement described <br />Except Red Oak Drive, the North 202.5' of South 810' of East 528' <br />of West 1056' of Northeast 1/4, the easement being the East 25' of <br />said property and also that part of said property lying East of a <br />curved line with a radius of 50 feet and whose center is on the <br />East line of said property and 50 feet North of the Southeast <br />corner thereof, <br />with easement for utilities retained by the Village of Mounds View. 5 Ayes <br />MSP (Baumgartner- Hodges) To adjourn the vacation hearing at 8:40 P.M. 5 Ayes <br />Clerk Zylla read a request by Abiding Savior Lutheran Church to have their building permit <br />fee abated. He asked direction. The Council discussed permit fees and the cost of <br />inspections. <br />'15 (Pickar- Johnson) To grant a 25% reduction on the total permit fee for the Abiding <br />:Avior Lutheran Church. <br />rom Dougherty and James Nerdahl objected to the Village subsidizing a religious organiza- <br />tion. They reasoned that since the permit fees are established to cover the cost of the <br />inspections, any permit fee less than the established rate was in effect subsidized by <br />general taxes. Councilman Johnson withdrew his second and the motion died for lack of <br />a second. <br />Mayor Neisen's Report <br />Mayor Neisen read the police report for October. <br />-2- <br />MSP (Neisen Pickar) To approve the request of the Mounds View Lions Club to change their <br />place of operation for bingo from the Mermaid Supper Club to the Launching Pad Supper Club. <br />Their previous application was approved September 25, 1972. 5 Ayes <br />Clerk- Administrator Zylla's Report <br />MSP (Hodges- Johnson) To approve the following licenses: Cement Barry Bjugstad, Donald <br />Schminkey; Excavating Glenn Rehbein Excavating; General Contractor Floodmaster <br />Engineering, Kraus- Anderson of Mpls, Inc., R.
