Mayor Neisen's Report Clerk- Administrator Zylla's Report PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW COUNTY OF RAMSEY A Regular Meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was called to order by Mayor Neisen at 8:02 P.M. on May 29, 1973, at the Mounds View Village Hall, 2401 Highway #10, St. Paul, Minnesota 55112. Present: Also Present: Mayor Neisen Councilman Baumgartner Councilman Hodges Councilman Johnson Councilman Picker Councilman Baumgartner arrived at 8:12 P.M. Clerk Administrator Zylla Attorney Meyers Engineer Bearden MSP (Neisen Pickar) To approve the minutes of May 14, corrected to read Page 3, third sentence, "to proceed with the grading plan if he felt the cost was justifiable 4 Ayes Resident Requests and Comments from the Floor. Mrs. K. Larson, 2401 Sherwood Road, complained about water in her basement. She said they owned a split entry home just east of a drainage ditch and asked that either the ditch be deepened or conduit placed in it. Mr. Bearden, Village Engineer, explained that it may be a major undertaking to lower the ditch and it may not solve her problem. He voiced concern about the grade of the ditch, stating a profile would be needed. MSP (Neisen- Hodges) To direct the engineer to investigate the drainage problem involving the ditch west of 2401 Sherwood Road and report back to the Council with his findings. 5 Ayes Mr. Ole Bacon, 2265 Highway #10, stated that he has had to use his sump pump to control the rising water table in his basement the first time in several years. He reminded the Council that several years ago when several persons experienced severe water problems, it was due to a leak in the St. Paul Water Works main. Mayor Neisen read a letter from Katherine Aronson, concerning the "Operation Stop Light" performance which is scheduled for May 30th at Pinewood School. Mayor Neisen reviewed briefly the history of the stop light for the benefit of those in the audience.
