Mayor Neisen's Report <br />Clerk- Administrator Zylla's Report <br />PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL <br />VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />A Regular Meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was called to order <br />by Mayor Neisen at 8:02 P.M. on May 29, 1973, at the Mounds View Village <br />Hall, 2401 Highway #10, St. Paul, Minnesota 55112. <br />Present: Also Present: <br />Mayor Neisen <br />Councilman Baumgartner <br />Councilman Hodges <br />Councilman Johnson <br />Councilman Picker <br />Councilman Baumgartner arrived at 8:12 P.M. <br />Clerk Administrator Zylla <br />Attorney Meyers <br />Engineer Bearden <br />MSP (Neisen Pickar) To approve the minutes of May 14, corrected to read Page <br />3, third sentence, "to proceed with the grading plan if he felt the cost was <br />justifiable 4 Ayes <br />Resident Requests and Comments from the Floor. <br />Mrs. K. Larson, 2401 Sherwood Road, complained about water in her basement. <br />She said they owned a split entry home just east of a drainage ditch and asked <br />that either the ditch be deepened or conduit placed in it. Mr. Bearden, Village <br />Engineer, explained that it may be a major undertaking to lower the ditch and <br />it may not solve her problem. He voiced concern about the grade of the ditch, <br />stating a profile would be needed. <br />MSP (Neisen- Hodges) To direct the engineer to investigate the drainage problem <br />involving the ditch west of 2401 Sherwood Road and report back to the Council <br />with his findings. 5 Ayes <br />Mr. Ole Bacon, 2265 Highway #10, stated that he has had to use his sump pump to <br />control the rising water table in his basement the first time in several years. <br />He reminded the Council that several years ago when several persons experienced <br />severe water problems, it was due to a leak in the St. Paul Water Works main. <br />Mayor Neisen read a letter from Katherine Aronson, concerning the "Operation <br />Stop Light" performance which is scheduled for May 30th at Pinewood School. <br />Mayor Neisen reviewed briefly the history of the stop light for the benefit of <br />those in the audience. <br />MSP (Hodges- Johnson) To approve the licenses: Asphalt Asphalt Driveway Co., <br />Blacktop Driveway Co.; Cabaret Mermaid Cocktail Lounge, Inc., Donatelle, Inc., <br />Launching Pad Supper Club; Dance Bel -Rae Ballroom; Excavating Brighton <br />Excavating; Gas Supplier The Pak Company, Inc; General Contractor Ducharm <br />Fence Co., Gorco Construction Co., Harstad -Todd Const., Arnold H.
