<br />checks #333 thru #358, Transfer check #7411 for $10,222.32 to Payroll Account to
<br />pay gross pay of June 15, 1973 from General $8,041.34, from Sewer $812.06, from
<br />Water $1,368.92. Check #1025 transferring $2,103.97 to the General Fund from
<br />the Payroll Account to correct deposit error.
<br />MSP (Johnson Baumgartner) To recess the regular meeting at 8:30 P.M.
<br />Mayor Neisen called the Special Revenue Sharing Hearing to order at 8:30 P.M.
<br />Clerk Zylla read the list of permissible expenditures as designated by the
<br />Federal Revenue Sharing Law.
<br />Mayor Neisen read a letter from the Clerk noting that there has been $38,496.00
<br />in revenue sharing funds received for 1972 with an additional $43,278.00 to be
<br />received for 1973. A planned use report is necessary and must be filed with the
<br />Treasury Department for $21,639.00, one -half of the 1973 allocation. Possible
<br />uses of revenue sharing funds include:
<br />1) Village share for the stop light at Quincy and
<br />County Road I 4,000
<br />2) Revise Village comprehensive plan $10- $15,000
<br />3) Maintenance building addition (3370 sq. ft.) $97,000
<br />4) Pole building (3,500 sq. ft.) $15,000
<br />5) Grading plans for parks
<br />6) Salary for additional personnel (Hanggi) 5,500
<br />7) Park land acquisition and improvements
<br />8) Expansion of Village hall offices
<br />9) Matching funds for Civil Defense emergency center
<br />10) Part time village inspector
<br />Mayor Neisen added that a possible use would be to provide a Village water
<br />softening system and an additional civil defense warning siren in the Eastwood
<br />Woodale area. He explained that Revenue Sharing was guaranteed only for five
<br />years and he did not encourage spending the funds on long term operating or
<br />maintenance expenditures.
<br />Councilman Johnson felt that the Council ought to dedicate more money for park
<br />land. Councilman Baumgartner agreed with Councilman Johnson and added that the
