Councilman Baumgartner read the Planning Commission minutes of May 23rd. <br />MSP (Baumgartner Johnson) To approve the issuance of a special use permit for <br />one year to White Oak Builders to have a model home at 7070 Silver Lake Road. <br />Councilman Picker's Report <br />Councilman Pickar notified the Council that Lakeside Park is open gad a swimming <br />lesson program is in process. <br />Attorney Meyers' Report <br />Attorney Meyers reported that in 1965, a surface water drainage easement was <br />recorded across the property now being developed by Willmus Properties. Willmus <br />has received approval to relocate the ditch subject to certain conditions, one <br />of which is that a new easement be granted. Attorney Meyers has requested that <br />a drainage and storm sewer easement be obtained for the ditch. Willmus desires <br />only Wprovide a surface drainage easement. <br />MSP (Johnson- Hodges) To authorize the Attorney to proceed with the transfer of <br />easements for the relocation of the drainage ditch, authorizing him to obtain a <br />storm sewer easement in addition to a surface drainage easement. <br />MSP (Neisen- Johnson) To adopt Resolution #606 authorizing Village participation <br />in the Metro Rate Authority, directing the execution and delivery of the joint <br />powers agreement, and designating Mayor Neisen as the represcantative for the <br />Village on the Metro Rate Board. <br />Engineer Bearden's Report <br />Engineer Bearden reported that State Aid approval was granted Project 1973 -2 and <br />1973 -3. <br />MSP (Neisen Pickar) To award the bid on Project 1973 -2 and 1973 -3 to H S <br />Asphalt Company for a bid of $51,478.73. <br />Engineer Bearden stated that he has investigated the storm sewer drainage problems <br />at Sherwood and Greenwood. He estimated that clean out of the open ditch would <br />cost approximately $1,000, and that if pipe was installed $15,000. <br />MSP (Neisen Hodges) To set a special hearing at 8:30 P.M. on July 9th with <br />effected property owners to discuss alternatives to solving the drainage problem <br />near Greenwood and Sherwood. <br />Engineer Bearden reported that the parts for the repair of Well #2 have been <br />ordered and the estimated repair cost is $550.00. <br />Councilman Johnson asked that someone investigate a report of a 12 foot hole west <br />of Long Lake Road and south of Ridge Lane. <br />St. Paul Water Department is to be notified that cars are driving across the <br />water works main on the south side of Spring Lake, and missing posts are to be <br />replaced. <br />
