October 15, 1974 <br />Mayor Neisen directed the administrator to contact the financial consul- <br />tant regarding the possibity of selling temporary bonds and to request <br />that a representative of the financial consultant attend the October 21st <br />agenda meeting. <br />Attorney Meyers presented a check from P.B.K. Investment Co., for final <br />payment of their Park Fund dedication. <br />MSP (Neisen-Baumgartner) To accept this check as final payment and direct <br />that it be deposited in the Park Fund. <br />Mayor Neisen directed the city attorney to investigate the legal ramification <br />of the sewer repair problem at 8490 Spring Lake Road. <br />Attorney Meyers presented a revised version of the junked and abandoned <br />vehicles ordinance. <br />Councilman Johnson asked whether Subdivision 8 would inhibit police enforce- <br />ment of the ordinance. <br />Attorney Meyers stated that it would not and that the police have authority <br />to enforce it without first receiving a complaint from the Council. <br />MSP (Neisen Pickar) To adopt Ordinance No. 224 revising the Junked and <br />Abandoned Vehicles Code. <br />Engineer Bearden's Report <br />Engineer Bearden reported the results fo the bidding on Project 1973 -4. <br />He noted that all the bids except one were very close and that he was <br />pleased with the bidding. <br />MSP (Neisen Johnson) To receive the bids and to tenatively plan to award <br />the contract to the low bidder at the November 12th Council meeting subject <br />to the sale of bonds for the Project. <br />Engineer Bearden reported that a hydrant extension was necessary for Project <br />1973 -6; that materials to install the extension would cost about $150 and <br />that city staff could provide the labor. <br />MSP (Neisen- Hodges) To direct city staff to purchase the necessary materials <br />and install them and that the expense be charged to Project 1973 -6. <br />MSP (Baumgartner Hodges) To adjourn at 10:34 P.M. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />Mark Achen <br />Clerk Administrator <br />Page 5 <br />5 Ayes <br />Pickar Aye <br />Baumgartner Aye <br />Johnson Aye <br />Hodges Aye <br />Neisen Aye <br />5 Ayes <br />5 Ayes <br />5 Ayes <br />
