October 15, 1974 Mayor Neisen directed the administrator to contact the financial consul- tant regarding the possibity of selling temporary bonds and to request that a representative of the financial consultant attend the October 21st agenda meeting. Attorney Meyers presented a check from P.B.K. Investment Co., for final payment of their Park Fund dedication. MSP (Neisen-Baumgartner) To accept this check as final payment and direct that it be deposited in the Park Fund. Mayor Neisen directed the city attorney to investigate the legal ramification of the sewer repair problem at 8490 Spring Lake Road. Attorney Meyers presented a revised version of the junked and abandoned vehicles ordinance. Councilman Johnson asked whether Subdivision 8 would inhibit police enforce- ment of the ordinance. Attorney Meyers stated that it would not and that the police have authority to enforce it without first receiving a complaint from the Council. MSP (Neisen Pickar) To adopt Ordinance No. 224 revising the Junked and Abandoned Vehicles Code. Engineer Bearden's Report Engineer Bearden reported the results fo the bidding on Project 1973 -4. He noted that all the bids except one were very close and that he was pleased with the bidding. MSP (Neisen Johnson) To receive the bids and to tenatively plan to award the contract to the low bidder at the November 12th Council meeting subject to the sale of bonds for the Project. Engineer Bearden reported that a hydrant extension was necessary for Project 1973 -6; that materials to install the extension would cost about $150 and that city staff could provide the labor. MSP (Neisen- Hodges) To direct city staff to purchase the necessary materials and install them and that the expense be charged to Project 1973 -6. MSP (Baumgartner Hodges) To adjourn at 10:34 P.M.
