Page 5 <br />December 9, 1974 <br />MSP (Neisen- Hodges) To grant a ten foot easement subject to the request of <br />NSP as recommended by the engineer. <br />Engineer Bearden reported that he had received a notice from the U.S. Envir- <br />onmental Protection Agency with regard to a permit for operation of water <br />treatment plant No. 1 and setting effluent standards. He stated that the <br />city's other two water treatment plants satisfactorily meet the effluent <br />standards but that effluent from plant No. 1 must either be discharged <br />directly to a sanitary sewer or put in a holding tank. <br />MSP (Nelsen- Johnson) To direct the city engineer to examine the options <br />available for compliance with the EPA standards and to prepare cost <br />estimates of these options. <br />MSP (Neisen Pickar) To call a special council meeting as required by law <br />January 2, 1975 at 6:30 p.m. <br />MSP (Hodges Pickar) To adjourn at 10:12 p.m. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />t 11 1 ):Vc6n.
