SPECIAL MEETING <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />A special emergency meeting of the Mounds View City Council was called to order <br />by Mayor Johnson at 6:09 p.m, on May 21, 1975 at the Mounds View City Hall, <br />2401 Highway 10, Mounds View, Mn. 55112 <br />Present: Mayor Johnson <br />Councilman Baumgartner <br />Councilman Pickar <br />Councilman Shelquist <br />Also Present: Clerk- Administrator Achen <br />Attorney Meyers <br />Absent: Councilman Hodges <br />Mayor Johnson announced that Councilman Hodges is out of town on <br />Mayor Johnson stated he was very appreciative of all efforts made by the many <br />volunteer personnel and city, county, and state personnel. <br />Mayor Johnson said the purpose of this meeting is to expedite and facilitate <br />access to state disaster aid for the City and its residents. <br />Attorney Meyers explained problems of obtaining such assistance and that the <br />application process for such aid must begin with a formal request from the City. <br />The second step is for Ramsey County to declare Mounds View as a disaster area. <br />Attorney Meyers read Resolution No.675 proclaiming a disaster and invoking all <br />powers granted to the City under its police protection. <br />MSP (Johnson Baumgartner) to adopt Resolution No.615 proclaiming a disaster <br />invoking all powers granted to the City under its police protection. 4 Ayes <br />MSP (Pickar Shelquist) to adjourn at 6:54 p.m. 4 Ayes <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />'712,th C 1 <br />Mark Achen <br />Clerk Administrator <br />
