-3- <br />Bill Hanggi, 2475 Woodale, asked if his machine were broken down, <br />would he have to have his lights on. It was explained to him that <br />the words "in operation" took care of that problem, as you are not <br />operating your snowmobile if it is in tow. <br />Mayor Johnson moved to amend Ordinance #239, Section 202.02 as follows: <br />In the 3rd sentence insert a period after the word "use" and insert: <br />"No persons shall operate a snowmobile on any privately owned property <br />or an improved boulevard unless they have received the permission <br />from the property owner, occupant or lessee." This motion was <br />seconded by Councilman Baumgartner. <br />Jack Warren, 5330 Quincy St., stated that snowmobiles give way to <br />all other vehicles on the street and that he thought that this was <br />as it should be. It was explained to him that this was still in <br />the ordinance. <br />A roll call vote was requested on the amendment. <br />Councilman Shelquist aye Councilman Hodges aye <br />Councilman Pickar aye Mayor Johnson- aye <br />Councilman Baumgartner aye <br />The amendment Sgrried. <br />Councilman Shelquist moved to further amend the ordinance by proposing <br />a change to Section 202.03, as follows: continuing on from the <br />last sentence of the section, insert a comma and insert: "and on a <br />city street between the hours of 10:00 pm and 7:00 am Sunday through <br />Thursday and 12:00 am and 7:00 am on all other days." This motion <br />was seconded by Mayor Johnson. <br />Counclman,Baumgartner stated that thiswould mean that theymay have <br />to transport their snowmobile from the trail to their home. Gary <br />Sward stated that the Snowmobile Club is going to have people deputized <br />to issue warrants. <br />A roll call vote was requested on the amendment. <br />Councilman Shelquist aye <br />Councilman Pickar nay <br />Councilman Baumgartner nay <br />The amendment failed. <br />Mayor Johnson then stated that they would go back to the main motion, <br />and requested a roll call vote on Ordinance #239, as amended. <br />Councilman Shelquist nay, as he was still having a problem <br />Councilman Pickar aye with the one section. <br />Councilman Baumgartner aye <br />Councilman Hodges aye <br />Mayor Johnson aye <br />Motion carried. <br />Councilman Hodges nay <br />Mayor Johnson nay <br />Kevin Track, 2456 County Rd. H., asked regarding county roads and <br />Norm Ecklund said that the county has printed a list of county roads <br />and suggested getting copies of it to pass out with copies of the <br />ordinance. He also stated that Roy Anderman is the new president <br />
