December ?O, 117e Page 7 <br />COUNCILP1Et1BER•. BAUtiGARTf1ER'S REPORT Councilmember Baumgartner stated <br />Irrthat the skating rinks did not open last Saturday because of the <br />weather. Engineer Hubbard stated that they may open at Noon on Thursday. <br />COUNCILME"1BEP. ROWLEY had nothing to report. <br />Councilmember Hodges suggested that the project of putting inthe <br />corner stone in Administrator Achen's office and the bicentennial <br />bumper stickers be followed through, before they are forgotten. <br />Mayor Picear suggested these items be referred to the Bicentennial <br />Commission. <br />"r. 'iebarth stated that t'ie Commission does have some things to handle <br />yet and these suggestions would be considered. <br />Councilmember (lodges questioned the status of the community sign. <br />Engineer Hubbard stated that they are trying to complete it by <br />December e3, 127e. <br />MAYOR P,ICKAR'S REPORT 'favor Pici;ar stated he had received sone information <br />from the Mounds:Viet/ Civil Service Commission stating that the three <br />certified applicants for a police officer in Mounds View are Reed <br />Krogh, Steve Laynan and Carl Broberg. <br />HSP (Pickar- Hodges) that the Aderinistrator be directed to contact the <br />O O nu�mber one man, Reed erogh, and offer him the position and if he <br />oesn't accept to go to the second and third man, in that order, and <br />to also work out a starting date with the Chief of Police, subject to <br />the satisfactory psychological testing having been done. <br />Attorney Meyers stated that it is important so that the City is prepared <br />to answer any allegations that may come up. <br />Mayor Picear stated that this is Councilmember Shelquist's <br />and he wants to personally thank him for the many hours he <br />Councilmember Shelquist's attention to detail and his work <br />Planning Commission have been a valuable assistance to the <br />Respectfully suenittee,' <br />ear!: c'12! <br />tier': ministrator <br />last meeting <br />has put in. <br />through the <br />City <br />Administrator Achen suggested that the first neeting in January; be held <br />on January 3 at 7:le p.n. <br />"SP (Shelquist- Baumgartner) to adjourn the r►eeting at '?:21 p.n. <br />5 aye <br />ayes <br />
