The consent agenda is a technique designed to expedite handling of <br />routine and miscellaneous official business of the City Council. <br />The entire agenda may be adopted by the Council in one motion. The <br />motion for adoption is non debatable and must receive unanimous <br />approval. By request of any individual Council Member, any item <br />can be removed from the consent agenda and placed upon the regular <br />agenda for debate. <br />ITEM A. Schedule a Council work session for 7:00 PM Thursday, <br />December 14, 1978, and reschedule the regular December 25th <br />Council meeting to 7:30 PM Monday, December 18, 1978. <br />ITEM B. Receive the following bids on surplus city vehicles: <br />Lee': Wrecking <br />Bruce Saba <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br />December 11, 1978 <br />1974 Ford 1975 Plymouth Total <br />$600 $400 $1,000 <br />152 127 279 <br />Award the sale of both vehicles to Lee's Wrecking, 11808 <br />Central Ave. N.E., Blaine, MN for $1,000. <br />ITEM C. Receive Improvement Project 1978 -10, Woodcrest Drive drainage, <br />feasibility report dated December 4, 1978, from Short Elliott <br />Hendrickson, Inc. <br />ITEM D. Authorize a wage increase to $6.73 per hour effective <br />November 11, 1978, for maintenance department mechanic, <br />Richard Schmidlin. The new salary rate is 95% of the <br />IBT Local No. 49 maintenance employee one year anniversary <br />rate. <br />ITEM E. Authorize NSP Co. to bill the City of Mounds View for <br />service to street lights being discontinued by Ramsey County <br />effective January 1, 1979. Approve the Engineering Technician job description and appoint <br />Frank J. Kampel to the position effective January 1, 1979 at <br />a monthly salary of $1,000. Provide Kampel with pro -rated <br />sick leave and vacation leave credit for any employment in <br />excess of 20 hours per week prior to January 1, 1979. <br />
