MOUNDS VIEW CITY COUNCIL Regular Meeting <br />Page 4 July 23, 1979 <br />Rowley made the motion, seconded by Hodges <br />that a letter be drafted to the Mounds View <br />Jaycees from the Council thanking them for <br />time and efforts put in on the Lakeside Park <br />Pavillion. Without their help, it would have <br />been much more costly. <br />5 ayes <br />0 nays <br />Rowley questioned the School providing space <br />instead of money to the Youth Service Board. <br />Hodges indicated the Board had previously been <br />paying rent, so the space provided by the School <br />will represent a savings to them. <br />Hodges Report: He thanked the City Administrator <br />for implementing the information box for Council <br />members which he suggested at the last meeting. <br />Ziebarth's Report: He advised there will be no <br />Park Recreation Commission meeting this month. <br />Instead, citizens are invited to the Ramsey <br />County Fair. <br />Mayor's Report: The Mayor advised Councilmembers <br />of two upcoming meetings: 1) July 25 for as many <br />Councilmembers as possible with the Planning <br />Commission Chairperson in the Administrator's <br />office, and 2) a Metro Municipalities Seminar <br />on July 30, 1979. <br />The Mayor asked the status of: 1) the stop sign <br />at Sherwood Sunnyside Ave. Nelson advised that <br />signs will be installed as soon as possible. <br />2) if any applicants had come forward for the <br />ex officio position for Planning Commission. <br />Nelson stated there were none as yet. <br />3) if the City had a statement regarding the <br />Highway 10 relocation. Nelson stated there <br />will be a draft prepared tor the next agenda <br />session. 4) Re: sign installation request from <br />Compassionate Christian Center -the Mayor feels <br />signs on private property should be their <br />responsibility. He directed Staf:_ ..o check on <br />the signs for Hillview. Forslund stated church <br />members should be encouraged to use the nearby <br />triangle of land for a parking lot, rather <br />than parking in the street. <br />A.
