MOUNDS VIEW CITY COUNCIL Regular Meeting <br />March 24, 1980 Page 4 <br />During the first quarter of 1980, the <br />department had been working on the <br />closing out of the 1979 books in order <br />to begin the "79 "Audit. The City had <br />been collecting receipts from last <br />quarter's billing and are preparing <br />the billing records for next quarter. <br />Finally, noted that the City had been <br />fortunate with regards to the high <br />rates of interest to be making invest- <br />ments at high interest rates. He did <br />state to the City Council that the <br />latest investment he had made at that <br />time was at 17 -5/8 <br />Brager indicated in the next quarter <br />the following things would occur: <br />(1) the 1979 audit would be <br />completed <br />(2) work on the long -term financial <br />plan would begin <br />(3) the 1981 budget process would begin <br />by reviewing alternatives to the <br />present data processing service and <br />the new City accountant would be <br />hired. <br />First item presented to the City <br />Council under the Administrator's <br />Report was the Consent Agenda.(See <br />attached at the end of the minutes) <br />There were no questions raised by the <br />City Council regarding this matter. <br />Rowley moved the adoption of the Consent <br />Agenda as presented, it was seconded <br />by Hodges. <br />The motion carried. <br />4 ayes <br />0 nays <br />Nelson presented to the City Council 8. <br />as Resolution 1095 which was a Resolution <br />Awarding the Sealcoating Bid to Allied <br />Blacktop. He reminded City Council that <br />City had gone through the proper bidding <br />process and the bid came in higher than <br />there were funds available. <br />7.
