CONSENT AGENDA <br />July 14, 1980 <br />The consent agenda is a technique designed to expedite handling <br />of routine and miscellaneous official business of the City <br />Council. The entire agenda may be adopted by the Council in <br />one motion. The motion for adoption is non debatable and must <br />receive unanimous approval. By request of any individual Council <br />member, any item can be removed from the consent agenda and placed <br />upon the regular agenda for debate. <br />ITEM A. Authorize Superintendent of Public Works Larry Decheine <br />to take home a city vehicle with the understanding that <br />he adhere to the City Vehicle Policy. <br />ITEM B. Approve the expenditure of $2,200 from the Storm Drainage <br />Management account for the topographical survey work to <br />be completed by Short Elliott- Hendrickson, Inc. <br />ITEM C. Approve the leave without pay schedule for Janice Wiehle <br />for the week of July 14 -18 <br />ITEM D. Approve the vacation schedule for Jack Shields for the <br />week July 28 August 1, and August 25 -29 <br />ITEM E. Approve request from Donald Balk for sewer connection <br />refunds from 1978 totaling $385.00 to be paid from the <br />City Sewer Utility <br />ITEM F. Authorize staff to purchase an additional $1.5 million <br />insurance coverage for the 5th Annual Festival in the <br />Park to be paid from the Festivities Commission account <br />ITEM G. Establish June 21, 1980 at 8:00 p.m. as a joint meeting <br />with the Park and Recreation Commission to review the <br />possibility of a Fall Park Referendum <br />ITEM H. Appoint Barbara Ann Collins as a full time employee who <br />has successfully completed her 6 month probation at the <br />rate of $4.25 /hour <br />ITEM I. Licenses for approval: <br />CONTRACTORS Expire 6/30/80 <br />EXCAVATION Renewal <br />Carl Bolander Sons <br />Brighton Excavation <br />Julian M. Johnson Construction <br />
