The Mounds View City Council was called to <br />order at 7:30 P.M. on December 8, 1980, by <br />Mayor McCarty. <br />Members Present: Rowley, Hodges, Forslund, <br />and Mayor McCarty. <br />Members Absent: Ziebarth <br />PROCEEDINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />Also Present: Clerk- Administrator Pauley <br />and Attorney Meyers. <br />THE REGULAR MEETING CLOSED AT 7:31 P.M. <br />THE PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE 1980 LONG TERM FINANCIAL PLAN OPENED <br />AT 7:31 P.M. <br />Mayor McCarty asked if there were any comments <br />or questions from the audience: <br />Bill Dody, 3049 Bronson Drive- He stated that <br />he was going to be on the Council beginning in <br />January, 1981. He would like to see the proposed <br />Miller and Edgewood projects removed from the <br />1981 long term financial plan since they were <br />both still tentative proposals. <br />There were no other comments from the audience <br />or the council. <br />THE PUBLIC HEARING CLOSED AT 7:34 P.M. <br />THE REGULAR MEETING RE- OPENED AT 7:34 P.M. <br />Finance Director Don Brager presented a brief <br />explanation of the justification for increasing <br />the sewer rates in Mounds View. He stated that <br />because of the increase in charges from the <br />Metropolitan Waste Control Commission as well <br />as the extra expense of two sewer main breaks <br />in the last years, the rates for the Mounds View <br />citizens would be increased to approximately <br />$.50 /month /resident.
