MOUNDS VIEW CITY COUNCIL March 9, 1981 <br />Special and Regular Meeting Page Seven <br />Finance Director Brager stated that the <br />Minnesota Statutes requires competitive bid <br />ding when changing Group Health Insurance <br />Plans. <br />MOTION: Councilmember Doty made a motion, <br />seed by Blanchard, to advertise for <br />bids for Group Health Insurance Coverage <br />and to close the bidding on March 30, 1981. <br />Ayes -5 <br />Nays -0 MOTION CARRIED. <br />Clerk Administrator Pauley presented bids 13. Consideration of Street <br />for street sweeping. He said that two of Sweeping Bids and Staff <br />the bids had been invalid because of Recommendations <br />not complying with specifications. Clerk <br />Administrator Pauley said that he <br />recommended that American Sweepers, Inc. <br />be awarded the bid. <br />MOTION: Mayor McCarty made a motion, seconded <br />ages, to grant American Sweepers, Inc. <br />the bid in the amount of $3,850.00. <br />Ayes -5 <br />Nays -0 MOTION CARRIED. <br />City Attorney Meyers discussed that the County 14. Report of Attorney <br />may again consider the County Court Proposal. <br />He said that a hearing would be held on Monday, <br />March 16, 1981, at 1:30 p.m., and that Clerk <br />Administrator Pauley would be attending the <br />hearing. <br />Blanchard: No report. 15. Reports of Councilmembers <br />Doty: He attended a meeting with the Parks <br />and Recreation Commission on February 26, <br />1981, and discussed the possibility of a <br />Joint Powers Agreement with the City of <br />Spring Lake Park regarding Lakeside Park. <br />He noted that some of the Planning Commission <br />members had met with the Parks and Recreation <br />Commission to discuss the Comprehensive Plan <br />and the Parks Plan. He further discussed <br />an article written by Jimmy Schwartz in the <br />New Brighton Bulletin. <br />Hodges: He noted a meeting that he had <br />attended with the N.W. Suburban Youth <br />Service Bureau. <br />
