Mounds View City Council November 9, 1981 <br />Regular Meeting Page Five <br />he Council. <br />Attorney Meyers reported he had met with the <br />attorneys for Kraus /Anderson, and they had indi- <br />cated the City could expect a challenge on the <br />SDM charges for Silver Lake Woods. <br />Councilmember Blanchard reported that there <br />would be a meeting in Maplewood on November 18 <br />with the County Legislators, and recommended <br />the Council attend. Clerk /Administrator Pauley <br />stated he would make reservations for those who <br />could attend. <br />Councilmember Blanchard asked that Barb Collins <br />be commended for the excellent job she did in <br />collecting for the United Way campaign from City <br />employees. Clerk /Administrator Pauley added that <br />the City employees had given more than the recommend- <br />ed percentage United Way had asked for. <br />Councilmember Doty pointed out an article in the <br />Action Alert regarding the League of Cities <br />comments on the cash flow problems on the State, <br />the proposed withholding of school funds. <br />Acting Mayor Hodges reported that the Federal <br />Emergency Management Agency had processed the <br />paperwork for Mounds View for federal funds <br />to be used for emergency services. He added <br />that Mounds View needs to update its siren <br />system. <br />Acting Mayor Hodges thanked Clerk /Administrator <br />Pauley for the Administrator's Newsletter. <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley reviewed proposed 15. Report of <br />Ordinance No. 310. Administrator <br />Motion /Second: Doty /Hodges to have the first <br />reading of proposed Ordinance No. 310. <br />3 ayes 0 nays <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley read proposed <br />Ordinance No. 310. <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley reported he had <br />received a letter from the Minnesota Pollution <br />)ntrol Agency, indicating their approval of <br />le T &I study, with the funds reduced from <br />*43,000 to $40,000, with the stipulation that <br />the study must be completed by August 31, 1982. <br />He added that the money has been budgeted for <br />1982. <br />14.
