Attorney Meyers reported he had met with the attorneys for Kraus /Anderson, and they had indi- cated the City could expect a challenge on the SDM charges for Silver Lake Woods. Councilmember Blanchard reported that there would be a meeting in Maplewood on November 18 with the County Legislators, and recommended the Council attend. Clerk /Administrator Pauley stated he would make reservations for those who could attend. Councilmember Blanchard asked that Barb Collins be commended for the excellent job she did in collecting for the United Way campaign from City employees. Clerk /Administrator Pauley added that the City employees had given more than the recommend- ed percentage United Way had asked for. Councilmember Doty pointed out an article in the Action Alert regarding the League of Cities comments on the cash flow problems on the State, the proposed withholding of school funds. Acting Mayor Hodges reported that the Federal Emergency Management Agency had processed the paperwork for Mounds View for federal funds to be used for emergency services. He added that Mounds View needs to update its siren system. Acting Mayor Hodges thanked Clerk /Administrator Pauley for the Administrator's Newsletter. Clerk /Administrator Pauley reported he had received a letter from the Minnesota Pollution )ntrol Agency, indicating their approval of le T &I study, with the funds reduced from *43,000 to $40,000, with the stipulation that the study must be completed by August 31, 1982.
